I made some more ADR's today....

my only problem was LeCellier in Aug....they had tables at 8:50, which will not work for many obvious reasons but the CM suggested I take two tables instead so then I got a 6:30 slot. She said if I show up a bit early they will put the tables close together....? Has anyone done this before??

my kids can and will sit at a table together but not all the way across the room....I would not mind waiting for two tables to open up next to each other...what do you all think about this?? See we have 5 so that is obviously the problemo....

do you think we will be close enough or what??

I also booked Lecellier this am. for Aug. She told me that they did not have tables for 5. So when I showed up I had to tell them we have 2 reserved to please put them together. Does anyone have experience with this? I do not want to wait an hour for 2 table next to each other to open. How do they deal with large groups if they only have tables for 4?

We had a similar situation for almost all of our ADRs for a party of 8 last August. WE were never separated and usually had one large table. It mainly just an issue of how the ADR system is set up. We also rarely had to wait very long for our tables, definitely not much more than usual. I wouldn't worry about it at all. Our trip in Feb will be 13 people so I am certain that we will face the same thing again.

I had a similar problem with Sci-Fi last week and it worked out just fine. It was a last-minute trip and I made my ADRs only one week in advance. I tried to get the Fantasmic Dinner Package, but it was sold out. My second choice was Sci-Fi and they had no availability. The woman on the phone could see I was upset and told me that if I was willing to take the first time slot of the day (11:10am) she could get me two seats in one car and one seat in another car. She also said that more than likely once I got there they would seat me with my kids anyway. I grabbed the time slot and when we arrived the only thing they knew was that we were a party of three. It didn't even state in their book that we were supposed to have two tables. Not only did we get one table, but we chose to all squeeze into the front seat of the car together (one adult, two kids) and they never filled the back seat at all. :)

I was with a group of 7 at Le Cellier in December and we were able to sit together with no problem at all.

I just booked an ADR for LeCellier for late August and the only availability they had for a party of 5 was 8:30 p.m. I grabbed it but was disappointed...

Same here. I called this morning for Mid August and was told that we could only have 8:50 or split in two tables. Since We are a party of 6 and my four kids are 9,8,6,&1. I decided to take the 8:50 since I was not sure how far apart they would seat us. We've never been there before, but the CM said it was the most popular restaurant in Epcot. No doubt, since reservations can't even be had for August and it's only April!

I had the same problem with Le Cellier. They told me all that was available was 8:30pm or 8:40 on three different days! Finally I was able to snag a table for 5 for August 31st at 4pm. I grabbed it! I was just greatful that I didn't have to eat at 9 at night! :teeth:

I don't know the "for sure" answer, but just sliding two tables together should not be a major issue.
I seem to recall reading a thread about this very subject some while ago that, as tmfranlk says, it's more of an ADR computer issue than an actual seating matter.

We are a table of 5 and the only option left for us was 8:50 also. I made the ADR's at the 90 day mark because I wasn't aware of the change in policy to 180 days. My DD's will probably fine with this while I'll probably have my head on the table.

We met friends for dinner at LeCellier last year so we had a large party - 5 adults and 4 children. We were able to get two tables right next to each other. The adults sat at one and the kids at the other. We were so close I was able to cut the kids food without having to get up!

We were able to get a table for a party of 7 at LeCellier all together. (I called right at 180 day mark), however for a few restaurants we had to take two tables (in-laws) but they told me that they always try to put them right next to each other. I hope so, or else I can hear it - "She made the reservations and put us all the way across the room!". LOL!

I called at 180 days and got a table for 5 at Le Cellier for 5:50. I hope we aren't all squished!

With Free Dining I think everybody is going to have a hard time getting ADRs. I guess that's one good thing about us not being able to change dates! We have to come home the day before free dining starts, so we aren't battling with any free dining folks and the ADRs that I made at 180 days don't need to be changed.

For our last trip we were 13 and many of our reservations (including Le Cellier) were for 2 tables. The tables were always next to each other.

party of 5 here!!!
We were there last October (with free dining) & were seated with no problem.

We will be there this August with the free dining again..I called at 180 days & got 5:30pm..my kids wouldn't make it til 9pm to eat.

Also people cancel so call a few times between now & August because something may open up.

We have an ADR for Friday 8/25 @ 5:30pm for a party of 6. Lucky for me we had a plans set before free dining was announced and all of my ADR's too. All of my ADRs have been booked since Feb, right at the 180+10 mark - excessive planning does pay sometimes, but like I said before, our plans were already set before the free dining offer was announced.

Good luck to everyone trying to make ADRs :sunny: !

I just wanted to let everyone know that LECellier was the ONLY place I had a problem with....do not panic but get your adr's done soon but all other places I got exactly what I wanted...got the last 8:30 ohana slot for Wishes too....

Also if you have never gone during free dining before I will say be prepared to wait for a table....we waited for 30-45 mins at every place while there and the parks were not even that crowded...this I did not plan for so we ran late at MGM and never saw LMA or Indy due to my poor planning and the eating times being off...

just FYI

We were a party of 8, booked for two tables of 4. Checked in 15 minutes prior to our ADR time, waited 25 minutes for tables next to each other. Worked out great!

This was the only restaurant I had issues with. I called 5 months out (took me a while to make arrangements and make up my mind) and could not get the night I wanted. I had to rearrange a couple of my other days to get a 5:30 or 6PM, if I remember right. She did offer me 2 tables on the day I wanted, but my kids (14,11,8) fight and I don't want them apart from us, so I switched things around.
My SIL is planning to go 2nd week of October, and I have warned her to get started planning and making those ADRs, although I got decent choices at all of my other options without a problem.

When I made 8 days worth of ADR's for our family gathering of 7 this past January, Le Cellier told me they would have to put us at separate tables. It was the only ADR I made where that was an issue. In any case, we were not put at separate tables, but rather two tables pushed together. We ended up waiting about 20 minutes to be seated. The hostess said that due to the configuration of tables at this restaurant, they always tell parties of larger than 4 this when you book. It should be fine.

Can't answer for LeCelliers but last week I was having trouble getting ADR's for things (last minute trip).

I had ARD's for split tables at BOMA and 1900 Park Faire (2 and 2) but when we showed up, the computer had us as a party of 4 and both times we were seated together.
