Leaving for the unexpected planning trip first thing in the morning. :Pinkbounc

It looks like we have nixed the Wishes dessert party. We will be hosting our rehearsal dinner in the Napa room at the California Grill instead. We're really excited about the change (although not the change in price!). We get to watch the fireworks from the comfort and privacy of the room... and not have to worry about that awful weather back-up (the real reaosn for the change).

I will send you all Pixie Dust wishes from the best place on Earth! :wizard:

we just got back from our planning & tasting session at wdw, we had a great vacation & finalized almost every plan for our march wedding.

best of luck with your plans!

Do you get to sample the food at the planning session - i know you can try the cake but what about the main meal?

Yep- at the Yacht Club. We got to try 3 appertizers, 3 salads, 2 meals, and 2 desserts. It was awesome!

I am sooo jealous! not sure if i will be able to go back for a planning visit or not. Im working on it though lol!

Yes, living in this country has it's perks when it comes to travel to Florida! Most of the airline practically run shuttles here- non-stop and they leave every 1-2 hours from most locations.

Take a look into the Virgin packages. We have family from the UK coming over (my Dad's whole side) for the ceremony and service. They were able to find some great rates. Also, check the travel discount outlets. In this country, they include:

www.travelzoo.com
www.expedia.com
www.travelocity.com
www.hotels.com

There's also a great site called Sherman's Travel although I don't know the website- I click the link in my email when I get updates! Try www.google.com and type in "Sherman's Travel." If you have to enter your email address, it's worth doing it to get the updates and deals!

Hope that helps!
xoxo

yes we had a menu tasting at our session last monday at ariels, it was great! we tried the potatoe & blueberry pierogi (a custom food were having, its polish), we had the crab cakes, canadian bacon cheddar soup, chicken scampi (a custom food were having), oak grilled beef tenderloin & ny strip steak which were divine with cream cheese potatoes, carrots & asparagus. we ended up picking the tenderloin. we also tried the tiramusu in the chocolate cup with berries & biscotti on the side. there was so much food & it was so yummy. ill post pictures once i get them from the chef. we also did the cake tasting back at francks we decided on the chocolate cake with chocolate mouse for our 1st & top layer & vanilla cake with white chocolate mousse with strawberries for the middle layer. the planning session & tasting went great & really cemented our plans.

you do have to request a menu tasting if you want one at your planning session.
