If you have any questions that you just couldn't seem to get answered on these boards...... I would be happy to try to 'investigate' for you while I am on board next week. We will be leaving home early thursday morning and sailing on the Magic 4/20-4/27.

Our trip -- one year in the planning stage is FINALLY upon us!
:)

I can totally understand if you don't get to this one, but it has come up multiple times and never been answered - how do they handle potty trained children in Flounders? Do they have step stools or little potties so the children can go themselves? Are the potties in the "open" or do they leave the door open if a CM helps them?

I hope you have a great trip!

Our stateroom will be on deck #5 and it would not be a problem for me to stop by flounders and ask this question for you!;) I'll post the answer sometime after 4/29.....

or maybe even sooner if I break down and hop on the computer sometime during the vacation.
:)

Wovenwonder, Have a great time. Hopefully, this year's cruise will be smoother than last year's. BTW what airline are you flying, and from which airport (Harrisburg?)? Also, did they repair the fire damaged aft funnel, and Mickey Pool area?

wovenwonder,
Would you mind terribly seeing if the menus have changed dramatically since 12/01 on atigeg's page and if so, could you please post the changes?

How about menu at the poolside places? Don't recall them other than knowing hotdogs, pizza, burgers, chicken tenders exist... but what kind of icecream at the scoops place, any other items etc.

And finally, if you could see if you could 'sniff' out any information for changes in store for the western versus eastern itinerary, that'd be awesome. Any info would be helpful as we're all in the dark into which nights are which events/formal, etc. as well as how they're handling 1 less sea day...(any special shows or events cancelled)...
I'll be on the 5/11 'inaugral' western one and we're chomping at the bit figuring out what the *new* cruise has in store for us. You know, it makes a HUGE difference which formal to pack depending if your formal night is on night 2 or 4...:D :D

I know I'm asking a LOT, so don't worry.... anything is better than nothing. Have a great time, I'm jealous already!
:p :p :p

thanks,
cotomom/Kendra

plutospup - we are driving this year..... a long trip, I know! Recent returing cruisers seem to by saying that everything looks back to normal since the fire -- but I will be sure to check it out!

cotomom - I plan to pick up new menu's and send them to 'Dave' - I'm sure he will update his website with them pretty quickly as many people have been asking about menu updates. I'll also write down fast food options if they do not have 'menu's' available. Maybe Dave would post these also. I see what I can find out about the western itinerary for you too!
:)

Jody, Have a safe drive to Fl. and a happy, stressfree vacation! We are looking forward to a trip report when you return.

We drove last year, it was so much fun were doing it again this year. Have a safe drive down and a great cruise.:D

Wovenwonder, I realize you are on a 7 day cruise but I have a 4 day cruise question I bet you could get the answer to. I have asked repeatedly on this board regarding whether or not they do hairbraiding on the ship on the sea day on the 4 day cruise. Everybody who answered said they did it on the 7 day but nobody seems to know if they do it on the 4 day. So....that's my question:
Do they do hairbraiding on the ship on the sea day(or any other day) on the 4 day cruises?

How bout a map, or the true name of the island/location for where the Buck Island/Turtle Cove is that the shore excursions go to. (Even DCL can only say it is south of CA). I have a National Park guide and I wonder if it is near Capella Islands.

Would also like to know which beaches the many shore excursions go to on St John that are not named on the web site

I would also love to know if the 6 person tours to Buck Island would take five adults and two kids, ages 6 and 9 on one boat.

It would be cool if someone could make a list (or get a list, they must have one somewhere) that describes all the buffets at Topsiders and at lunch time.

I am also curious if there is a disability guide for the ships/tours as there is for the parks.

And I wanna know just how good the Grand Mariner souffle tastes......Sigh..

Have a safe trip. Hope you have a wonderful cruise!! :)

Have a SUPER time. I can't wait for our trip in August.
Since we love relaxing around the pool, would you please
find out exactly what they have to eat at Pluto's Dog House
(do they REALLY have tacos - if so, this Dutchie will be eating
tacos for seven days, while DH eats those chicken tenders).
I hope the weather is perfect for you (just like we are having
this week!!!!)

I need the following for my collection

M3 Helmsman Mickey
Ces't magqic
Character Breakfast
Tea with Wendy

These are only Magic Only cards that I am short in my collection. Please let me know if you can help. I got plenty of extras to trade with when you get back.

Have a Great Great time.

My DH and I have been checking out the dock webcam. Since our cabin will be on THAT side of the ship, we were wondering if we could get a big enough "flag" to put over the side or hung across the inside of the veranda until just before departing. Is it possible and if so, could be seen!??! We will be in cabin 6050, just above the life boats. I don't know if this idea has been discussed before...

Thanks, have a GREAT trip and we will all look forward to hearing your reports the end of the month!
