Sorry to ask these at once but I'm running out of time!

1.Where should we get autograph books when we get there? What pens work best-fat sharpies?

2. My DD wants to see Minnie before anything else, I've heard she's hard to find. We are going to Hoop Dee DOo our 1st night, will she be there?

3.What do you use for your children as id tags? I want to be prepared "just in case".

1) If you are on-site go to your hotel gift shop for books. Off site, just pick up at the first park you go to.....usually a gift shop/kiosk right at the gate for basics. I understand they don't like sharpies because the ink can mess up the costume. I usually buy a dozen stick pens and if we lose one, no big, pull out another.

2) Minnie - never been to Hoop-de-Doo - why - because we live in the land of hoop-de-doo. We have met her various places (toontown, in front of castle, americana at EPCOT, great place in the meet and greet by FOTLK show in AK).

3) Go to Walmart, at the front is a machine that you can type in the info and it engraves while you wait. (like a dog tag style but in lots of shapes and colors) Loop it on the lace of their tennis shoe. Out of the way, CMs will notice, but too small for strangers to read. Dress it up with a fun bead on either side - maybe even a Disney bead (probably can pick up at Walmart too.)

Minnie is not at the hoop de doo. Chip and Dale are at the sing a long every night. Minnie may be at Mickey's backyard bbq (also at the campground). You may want to go to the camping board and post there.

1) Autograph books and pens can be found at any gift shop. If you're going to your hotel first, get it there. I wouldn't use a Sharpie because they can "bleed" onto the backside of the paper and mess up a autograph that you may already have got on the other side.

2) As HopperFan said Minnie can be found on those places he/she listed. Also I've seen her, Mickey, Pluto and Goofy in front of the train station/entrance to the park.
I didn't think she was hard to find at all. Daisy Duck was the hardest character to find for us.
If you need help finding a character, ask a CM at any shop. They have a phone number that they can call and tell you where a character is or is planning to be (that's how we found Daisy).

3) As for ID tags, I really like HopperFans idea. I never thought of that.

We found Minnie right away at Toontown in her 'house'.

Minnie is also at Chef Mickey's, if you can hit that for one of your first meals!

We also do the "dog tags" for DS at WDW. Petsmart also has the engraving machines. I love them because the water/rain does nothing to them, and they can't be read by just anyone walking around. Yet they are apparent enough on a shoe that a CM would see them right away. We put DS's first name and our cell phone numbers on his tag.

Thanks for your quick reply's. I was kind of panicky last night, instead of posting a question I probably should have been breathing into a brown bag until I could think straight.
My DS had a field trip this morning, that I was going to be helping with, but it got cancelled due to rain ( it was an outside one), so I have more time to get things together.
I'm off to Walmart!

If you are going by plane, go to the Disney Store at MCO airport. They have great ones there and no worries once you arrive. I recommend one that has the place for a photo next to the actual autograph. If not, every hotel gift shops has them

As for Minnie she is at LTT dinner, Chef Mickey's Breakfast and lunch and Cape May Breakfast.

She also tends to be near her house in Toontown every morning around 10am and I have seen her many times right by the turnstiles at MK with the classic gang. She isn't too hard to find, just ask a CM. Daisy is the REALLY hard one to find

Im so excited for your guys that are going..

We went over Labor Day Weekend and had a blast! The only place I recall seeing Minnie Mouse was right after you enter in MK before you walk down the street in front of the castle.. Mickey and Minnie were there, but the lines were pretty large.. so if you can find her somewhere else that might be your best bet.. When we went about 5 yrs ago with my other kiddos we found her right in front of the castle one day..

We got our autograph book at the store at ASMo and a nice fat pen too with a Mickey head on it..

If you go to AK she can be found in camp Minnie Mickey in the character trails. If you go there first thing in the morning there are hardly any lines. I have also seen Donald and Daisy there, Goofy and Mickey. They are wearing their safari outfits.
