Leaving Soon, staying at CSR and AKL. Any tips?

Arriving at CSR on the 15 and then moving to AKL on the 18. Any tips on good rooms or anything else going on? We check out on the 22nd.

At CSR we wish we had been in Ranchos, closer to the main pool. It also looked the most interesting.

At AKL we loved our room on Zebra Trail looking out at the giraffes and able to see pool to right.

Avoid the savanna views looking at the birds. We were so happy they didn't try to put us there. Besides ostrich, vultures etc, the area has paved drives and fencing, looks like a service entrance.

I would think any room looking out by the observation area is fine.

Avoid the Giraffe I think it is, wing to the right when you go in door. By the parking, pools, restaurant and bus drops. Way to busy for me.

CSR - ranchos 7b or any of the cabana buildings if you want to be close to the main pool area. If you want to be far from everything, try a room in the ranchos area. If you love fountains and beautiful courtyards, try a room in the casitas area.

This is EXACTLY where they tried to put us when we stayed there! We said NO WAY! We weren't putting out a chunk of change for a deluxe savannah room to see that! It was very depressed-looking and not what you want to see out your window during vacation

As usual, the folks at Disney were very happy to accommodate our room change request, and they put us exactly where we wanted -- on Zebra Trail.


Perfect spot, I think, for viewing the animals. At 7:30 each morning, the truck would come out to put out the feed, so that's the perfect time to have your camera ready -- zebra, giraffe and all sorts of other animals galore! Not to mention the multitude of birds that were in the small pond below us...

The resort itself is awesome, the pool is HUGE, and the restaurants are incredible. ENJOY!

We're staying at WL and CSR next time (Feb), so I hope you'll post a trip report when you return

Take your time to enjoy the AKL resort itself. We didn't do to much of that last time...there is so much to see and so relaxing. Well at least it gave us reason to go back!
