Oh Jellipop...I am so sorry to hear that. It worries me how quickly he moved to ending things. Especially after 3 years. I wouldn't give up your disney experience for someone who is not even willing to try long distance. I think it shows a lack of appreciation for the wonderful girl that is "jellipop"Best of luck with that. Sending many happy thoughts your way
Ding, ding, ding!!! Exactly my thoughts. I'm older (and have more insurance
), but I also have a LOT of experience with long distance relationships. My Dad was an Army officer, so I watched how my parents handled separations. My first boyfriend was German and we moved back to the States. We kept our relationship going for quite some time with only snail-mail (this was back in the day, y'know). I finally moved on to an Army man myself. There were several separations, but they were not what did the marriage in. I met my current husband online waaaayyyy back before it was "done". We were 1,000 miles apart, but made it work with phone calls, email, and letters. We've been married for almost 14 years now. I'm currently at WDW on the CP myself and my hubby is back at home and we're doing fine. Yes, we miss one another, but we're both comfortable with our relationship and we understand that I am where I am supposed to be right now.I think too many relationships don't have strong enough foundations, though, and can't weather a separation. To be honest, if that's the case, it won't weather much else, either.
Best of luck with that. Sending many happy thoughts your way
