Leaving/Reentering park when at capacity

We will be at WDW next week when the park reservations are sold out. Anyone have experience with leaving the park you have a reservation for and coming back and re entering the same park later in the day? Will we be able to get back in with our reservation? We did this in December but park hopping was not in effect then. I am wondering if this will be harder to do with park reservations sold out and Park hopping back in place. We made some dining ressies that require us to leave and then want to return later for evening hours.

Once you have a park reservation a particular park you are guaranteed admission to that park all day.

Does that original park reservation hold true for later in the day if you have park-hopped to another park and then want to return? I think once you enter another park, your original park reservation may not guarantee re-entry if that original park has become full with other park-hoppers during your time away if you have entered another park. I would be curious to know for certain about this.

Disney’s rules for park pass reservations state clearly that you can leave and return to the park you have reservations for, and you are guaranteed re-entry to that park. I believe Disney is allowing for guaranteed re-entry in calculating park hopping allowances.

As @CarolynFH said, you may always re-enter the park you have a reservation for, regardless if you hopped to another park or not.
