Ok, I'm getting a little nervous here. I am now seeing reports of a tropical storm in the works. Has anyone else seen this and knows more about it than I do? Should I be worried? We are scheduled to be in WDW on Tuesday Aug 19.
I just read a report I saw linked on Yahoo that right now they're predicting the storm to be somewhere around south Florida on Monday. We leave on Wednesday so I'm keeping an eye on this storm as well. As far as I can tell it's really too close to tell just yet. They don't think it will turn into a hurricane so that's good. My guess is that there will probably just be some airport delays. Good luck!
We are leaving tonight and keeping our fingers crossed too Not much we can do about it now Intellicast shows rain all week I am going out and buying some rain coats for my DDs.
ITS supposed to remain off the west coast of fl and make land around panhandle, but if its only a tropical storm or cat 1 hurricane its no big deal
we don't even board up for those, they are mostly just heavy rain storms and it may be a little windy at times, they really are no big deal, just be prepared to have a wet week. but atleast it will be better than melting in the heat!!!!!
Last year, we hit a wet week at WDW. I was so glad that I had anticipated rain and had several cheapo/lightweight ponchos from the dollar store (2/$1). I'm a "wash and wear" person and the gkids didn't mind the rain at all--the most annoying part was the continual wiping of the eyeglasses
Go prepared for rain and you'll have a great time. A rainy day at Disney beats a sunny day at home
