We're not leaving till the 11th after school....border traffic here we come! Oh well, i'll just be glad to get out of the COLD!

I've got the 10 day forcast for orlando on my desktop from weather.com and the 5th is supposed to be 26 degrees...hopefully it will stay like that for a few weeks! :cheer2:

Beth :)

We're departing on the 9th in the afternoon -- keeping DD out of school for the day (OK -- begin chorus of how I'm a bad father) -- and breaking a teacher out of school for the afternoon. (wouldn't you all like to know how that one is working?)

1st night in Lexington, KY -- 2nd night in Tifton, GA -- 3rd night in Kissimee and then we're moving in to OKW.

:worship: :worship: :worship: I sure would! WOW. I think my principal would have a BIRD if I tried to get out of school that afternoon...though it has crossed my mind! ;) DH has to teach until 3:30 and has STRICT instructions to have those kids lined up at 3:25 and out the door by 3:31 so he can be on the way at 3:32, pick me up with ds at 4:02 and get to Pt. Huron at 4:52. Then by 8:31, we should be over the border... :crazy2:

Who cares, we're going to Florida!!! :sunny: :sunny: :sunny:

Have a safe drive!

Absolutely forbidden for us to have the day before a vacation break or the day after a vacation break. Not for sick days, not for personal days, maybe if I were dead. In fact I had two friends who were chastised and lost a days wages each when: one used a personal day, and one couldn't get back due to Jets Go failure (substitute plane came home on the Monday after March break) even though we (other teachers) covered both classes internally, so a substitute teacher wasn't necessary!

Every gray morning I get that "Gotta go in March break" feeling....even though it was 30 years ago that we did that! :rotfl:

:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

We leave on the 9th too. Can't wait for the Florida sun and the warm weather.

No teachers in this family. I'm waiting for the weather forecast to see what route we will take. Last year we left on the Thurs at 9 and arrived in Orlando at 4:30 pm next day. We are very good at straight thru driving. This year leaving by 6pm and hoping that the weather treats us well and we are able to go through Buffalo. 3 hours shorter and although I love Kentucky and Tennesse find the rest very Boring (then again at 3am what sights do you really see). Someday would like to do the Virginia's in daylight.
Anybody else driving straight through? Helps that we have 4 drivers in the van!

Leaving on the 9th  around 6pm. Going to go untill we just can't go anymore. Hope to be at BWV by around noon Sat. Safe and fun drive to everyone. pixiedust:

We usually drive right through, but this year we are stopping for a night so as not to worry my mother-in-law.(She's afraid we will fall asleep and go over a cliff). It will be a little more relaxing. Can't wait for some sunshine. :cool1:

Actually Principal here. Leaving on the 14th taking my admin week on top and back on the 28th. Letting Air Canada and AA do the driving this time.

Honk and  wave :wave2: if you see us -- we'll be in a green Dodge Caravan/Voyager marked with advertisiing for Edgewood Camp & Conference Centre in Eden Mills, Ontario. I-75 all the way south. :sunny:

We're from Waterloo but I'm still hoping to go through Buffalo. Funny last year we kept seeing all these Ontario cars on the I 75 in the wee hours of the am. Have fun and safe trip.

Also leaving the 9th, around 5:00 PM. Red Toyota Rav4. I81, 77, 26, 95, 4 WOOHOO!!!!!!!! Driving straight thru.

Have fun!!!

I can't wait. Doing the 79/77/95 route. Love it. So all you speeders be careful if you do that US 19 WV link. I play a car game...."who is getting the ticket?"....bad I know...it's usually an Ontario plate!!!!

Staying at Disney's HHI for the first time for two nights. And then BWV for the first time as well. I'm so excited.

Toyota Corolla....Disney "been there...done that...going back" license plate frame. Wave!!

Safe driving everyone!!

Hi DW also a teacher. No chance of leaving until the 10th. Pick her up at school at 3:00 and drive straight through. No Disney this time, but a beautiful beach outside Tampa. I 79-77-26-95 right to Pine Island. Everyone drive safe. I will be in the brown Montana. Give me a wave.

We'll be in the red CRV with the UK Mickey ears bobble on the antenna. We're going straight through on I75...hope to be in Orlando Saturday afternoon!

Maybe we'll see some of you at a Waffle House on the way down. :) :)

:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

We're leaving on the 10th. Simcoe Cty. has the 10th added onto March Break, do other school boards too?

I might be joining all you teachers, I have an interview at York University for their B. Ed. program this coming Saturday. I was worried that my family might have to leave on our vacation without me if I had received my interview any later. Now I can go down to York on the 4th and WDW on the 10th. Enjoy the sunshine and fun, won't have to think about acceptance until we get back on the 26th, only 1 week back here in the real world to wait patiently for those offers of admission on April 3rd! (pixie dust please!) pixiedust:

Have a great March Break everyone!
