Hi,
I've been on multiple 7 day Disney cruises but I was wondering what types of on-board activities do they have on extended cruises? Do they have a show every night? Do they having cooking and/or beer wine tasting for adults? We have 5 days on the ocean so i was wondering. Also, I am sure we rotate through the 4 dining rooms but do they have a different menu every evening? thanks for any info

There is a show every night. There will be the Magic's three production shows, and a variety of acts like ventriloquists, comedians, maybe a crew talent show and probably a movie. There will probably be a larger selection of movies showing in BVT. There are cooking classes, a variety of tastings, dance classes, crafting classes, at least those are some that we had on our 14 night cruises. You will rotate through the 3 MDRs with a different menu every evening. Just like the 7 night, you will do the signature menu once in each MDR, then everyone will have the same special menu the same night regardless of which MDR your are in. We love the long cruises! Have a great trip!

Yes I have been on a number of long cruises there is a show each night the normal ones padded out with guest entertainers and menus added to the normal ones. So no two nights are the same a different menu and get sea day activities like mixology.

We were on the 2014 Eastbound Transatlantic.

As people have said, there is some type of show every night, but not every night is a full musical with the cast. Some nights are a magician/ventriloquist, there may be a featured movie one night. The cast does put on some shows that are not normally featured on some of the shorter cruises.

You rotate through the 3 main dining rooms, not 4. Yes, different menu every night. I thnk there are 2 formal nights and one semi-formal night.

Palo is also open for brunch and dinner every sea day. Being a longer cruise, you can book it more than once.

There are also a lot of activities during the sea days, including lots of alcohol tastings, cooking and towel folding demontrations, dance lessons, bingo, lectures and workshops, karaoke, and extra movies.

In addition to the three regular stage shows, DCL usually schedules some other production-type shows for the longer sailings. You will also have variety acts, at least one movie night and a crew talent show.

Here is a link to the 2013 EBTA Navigators...

You will have a different itinerary, but the Navigators will give you a good idea of the shows/activities on the longer sailing.

We've done about 5 14/15 night sailings with DCL (and will be on the TA with you). DCL does pack the schedule full of things to do on those long sea days. There were some production shows that use sets/props from the main stage shows that I found to be more enjoyable than the normal production shows. They switch out the variety acts so that there are new people onboard every few days (we'll get new ones on right before the multiple days at sea and then they will swap out when we hit land so we'll have new entertainment onboard). They also have special activities that they only have when they have very few kids on- board like adults invade the club/lab. So take advantage of some things adults don't normally get to do -- like making Flubber. Typically they have a guest lecturer on board and they give presentations throughout the cruise. I usually relax quite a bit on the 7 days cruises because we've done them so many times that we can skip a lot of the activities and not feel like we are missing much. But usually on the two week cruises they add so many special activities, it's hard to find time to relax (and yet, somehow we manage!)

See you onboard in a few weeks!

Thank you, everyone
. I have a couple of more questions, do they have a larger data plan you can buy for transatlantic cruises? We have a 20 year old home alone:charac2:. Also i have verizon if i add on an international plan can we call from the boat? I am thinking NO, not without a ship to shore charge but I do not know.

Hi,

I agree with Deb inIA, going to Palo's twice for bunch is a big plus of the longer cruises. Some other cool activities that they did on a East Bound Panama Canal Cruise were: ice carving on Deck 9, Minnie's Fashion show, Kitchen Galley Tour on Deck 3, captain and crew hide and go seek, and lunch wiith the cruise staff just to name a few. Hope you have a great time! Bon Voyage!

Calling from the boat would be pretty expensive. Regular international plans would not apply.

Please be aware that on my 2013 EBTA, the ship wireless got quite bad when further out to sea. I was unable to use it quite a lot of time so gave up.
