Leaving on DME, how long do I need?

Sorry if these questions get asked all the time. I wanted to book my flight today so i don't have much time to look around for the answers.

How many hours before the flight do you need to be on DME leaving from my resort to the airport? My flight is domestic but my sister is flying to Canada. Should she book a departure flight that is an hour later than mine so we can take the same bus? Also, can she check in at the resort or does she need to check in at the airport because she's international?

You are supposed to be reserved and scheduled on a bus leaving about four hours before flight time for international flights (including Canadian) and three hours before your flight time for domestic flights. Unless a stopover (not just a connection) is planned in another U.S. city after leaving Orlando, baggage must be taken to the bus and handled at the airport by international travelers.

Should the time on your printed confirmation be much shorter, then a glitch has occurred and you need to have it fixed. Don't consider yourself lucky you got to spend more time in the park!

You are supposed to be at the bus platform outside your resort 15 minutes before that time as shown on your printed confirmation.

It is a good idea to wind down park activity as if to be back at your resort an hour before your bus time. Chances are you won't get back quite that soon.

Changes and corrections to your DME trip back to the airport can be made normally up to the morning of the day before checkout; emergency changes can sometimes be made on shorter notice. It is generally better to hold off on changes and corrections to your trip back to the airport until after you get to Orlando. You may not make changes at the last second and generally you may not simply take the next bus if you miss yours.

It is OK to request, and you will always be granted, a DME bus time earlier than the minimum 4 or 3 hours, for example to have time to eat something at the airport before boarding, or to stay together with others in your party.
