We have cabana booked on Castaway. Do you think its still worthwhile if expected high is 69 degrees!

Only you can decide if there is any "value" or if it is "worthwhile". There are people that would not want to spend the money on a cabana and at the other end of the spectrum folks that think it is a must do. Personally we are somewhere in the middle and I'll share that if it is a little cooler a cabana still seems like it would be a plus, just more time on the uncovered portion instead of the shaded area.

Have fun!

Not Castaway, but we were once on a different resort when the weather was similar - low 70s, decent wind all day, and a little drizzle. We had a cabana and thought it was great. It was nice to have a "base" and the cold didn't keep the kids inside. It was 5 degrees when we left home so 70 was still pretty darn nice. We stayed the entire day, so if you're going to make use of it, I'd say it's worth it. The people in the next cabana, however, were bundled up in full clothes, hoodies, and towels, and just stared at their phones the whole time. Literally, every time we walked by, they were each curled up in their own little balls staring at their phones. I really wondered why they had wasted the money on the cabana when they could've been doing that anywhere else on the resort, with climate control.

If it's cold where you are right now, 69 will be amazing! I'd definitely take 69 over the low 20s.

As someone who has experienced a 60 degree day at CC, it is BEAUTIFUL but wow, that cold wind can cut right through you.

As another mentioned, if you want to spend the day on the island, it will be amazing to have somewhere to watch the view from out of the wind. The water/beach at the Cabanas area is the shallowest and best maintained if you do want to get in the water.

If you decide you'd rather enjoy the ship/not spend the day on the island, the cabana wouldn't be worth it.

Update for anyone reading: we kept the cabana. While it was lovely, it was way too cold to go in the water. Snorkeling was canceled due to choppy water. By 2 pm most everyone was back on the ship. We left 2:30 and may have been one of last families to leave even though onboard time was 4:45. In retrospect probably should have saved our money and canceled the cabana since we didn’t really get to enjoy it as much as we have during previous visits.
