Leaving June 1st for AKL :sunny: . Just me, DH, and DD 16, all WDW mega-vets, getting away for a one-week trip while the 2 DS's are on a trip to Europe (the poor dears). Between oldest DS's HS graduation, planning their trip, my parents having health problems, etc., I gave up on planning this trip other than sketching out a main park for each day and planning a Wishes cruise (thanks to another kind DISer). Also plan to catch Arlo Guthrie at Epcot. Well, that's it! This is from a former park Nazi who drove her family crazy with my planning.
Any last minute suggestions? :rotfl:

WDW and AKL, here we come! :Pinkbounc   :Pinkbounc

My last minute sugestions:

Dont plan at all, by that i mean, dont plan what to see and do before you leave to WDW. Atleast thats how i do it. The reason for that is, when i arrive at WDW they will give me loads of brochures to the parks and so on. I like not to plan my park days in advance, but just go with the flow. That way i will be plesantly surpriced if there is some new rides, that i havent heard about before i left to go to WDW.

One more thing:
I dont expect anything special of the resorts im going to stay at, simply because i have never stayed at them before (in my case: Wilderness Lodge and Beach Club). The only thing i expect of those 2 resorts is; that its nice to look at,stay at and has a Disney feel to it.

Have a great stay at WDW !! :wizard:

Are there any restaurants that you really want to eat at, or character meals? If so, I would do a couple priority sittings. If not, I say just go and have a good time. It sounds as if you've been busy enough the way it is! Hope this helps. :goodvibes

grumphyandbashful,
we are in the same boat - DH (who does not do WDW) has had a nasty viral infection for 3 weeks; I have stress fracture which doc says will be fine by our departure (28th), ailing parents, aliling pet and DS's Middle School graduation plus b'day - this is the first time in 9 years I have not had all my ps's. got the room, got the limo and am going to try and make a few dinner ps's - thank goodness we eat late and are flexible - I am just grateful to go and know it will work out :flower:

You might even just put the number to call to make a PS in your cell phone then whatever park you are in or place you are in you can call and see what's available while you are there.

Mamaquack - you and I are about in the same boat, but at least I don't have the stress fracture to worry about, just stress    !
Might make a couple of PS's, but we don't make many, anyway.
Looking forward to walking into that gorgeous AKL lobby and forgetting the real word for awhile :cloud9: .

grumpyandbashful,
you know ds(almost 14) says the same thing to me about YC - one of his and my favorite things about WDW is walking in to that YC lobby and doing the sigh' - I'm gonna focus on that and keep ice on the foot - I'm about 90% now, sick cat came home today from hospital, hubby is off meds tomoro and doing way better so things are looking up - here's to all of us having a good visit with The Mouse! :flower:
