Do they have pool towels?

Made dinner ressies at Boma, but how is the food court for Breakfast?? Is it like CS where they seat you? Or can we just come and go as we please?

Are refillables a good deal here? Easy to refill poolside??

A phone number to call to re request the bunkbeds for the kids?

Any hot tips?

I am so excited to get to spend three nights at this hotel.YIPPEEE!!!

Boma is a sit down resturant. That serves a breakfast buffet and dinner. I think you are thinking of the food court at CS. The food court equilvant at CS at the AKL is Mara.

We thought so. They have two different styles of mugs. We have one of each. You can refill at Mara which is located right by the pool.

Who did you make your reservation through? If you made it through CRO then just call them back and add your request to your reservation.

Hope you have a great trip.

Just for info and to clarify. The food court at AKL, Mara, is NOT like the food court at CS in the way that you asked. At CS they do seat you, get your drinks, silverware, etc. At Mara you come and go as you like as in the other food courts run by Disney, (All Stars, CB, PO, you get the picture). We liked this about Mara, do not like the food court at CS just for that reason.

ENJOY!!!

Have fun. The breakfast buffet at Boma is very good and we always enjoy dinner there. Mara is a very upscale food court with a wide variety of choices. Mara has several choices for breakfast. The refillable mugs are a good deal at AKL and Mara is very close to the pool.

Again, enjoy yourselves. AKL is one of our favorite resorts.

Have a great time. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet at Boma.

The only thing we didn't like about Mara was that they brought the food to you, which sometimes took a while if they were busy. We like Roaring Fork at WL better.

I don't have any answers, but I just wanted to say:

I hope it's your best trip ever!!!! Have a great time! :)

glad to hear only positives about the AKL.....I cannot wait!!!

Cindy, have a great time at the AKL! When we stayed there we spent a lot of time at the resort rather than the parks because we wanted to take in as much of the culture as possible. If they offer a lobby tour or have storytelling at night, be sure to go. Enoy the food - we love Boma's so much for both breakfast & dinner that we have yet to try Jiko's. Have a great time!!!!

Disnee Dad Says...............................You will love this resort, but be warned, the rooms are no bigger than the moderates. This bugged me for a whole minute, until I went out on the balcony and saw wildebeast maybe fourty yards from the room. The balcony is also a great place in the evenings, with a bottle of wine and some cheese and bread, and a pair of good binoculors.
Boma for dinner was fantastic. I felt Mara was really lacking, the food court at All Stars seemed far better to me.
The place is very tranquil, the closest freeway is 876 miles away, at least it felt that way!
Call the hotel direct for the bunk beds. We got them even though we have 1 child. The other bed was used for storage of bags, luggage, gifts, etc.., worked out great!

Ok I want to call tomorrow and see about the bunk beds..does anyone have the AKL direct number??? Please.:)

I am so excited to see this hotel. Its our first Disney Deluxe resort, we have done both the value and moderates many times but couldnt pass up the deal they offered on our rooms this time.

Glad to hear Bomas is such a hit. Is it sit down or buffet? Kids menu? Any yummy tips would be welcome. This is our first dinner of the vacation and we cant wait.

Hoping and praying for a complimentary savannah view, but we will love anything....its vacation afterall.

Boma's is a buffet - they have a section with just kids food on it, chicken fingers etc. My tip would be to try everything! It was all delicious.
I particularly liked the potato soup, the salmon with crunchy topping, and the zebra domes (do not miss the zebra domes - delicious!) but we enjoyed everything.
