ha! slightly over whelmed since i am the sole packer for all 6 of us. Do i need to pack long pants and sweater in case of cold weather? i was planning on bringing long pants and a sweater for the baby for inside restaurants and such but do i need them for all of us? sweaters and pants take up SO much room so i don't want to needlessly pack them. thought i would ask the experts. Thanks for any help.

We were just in Florida and Disney two days ago. And it was -hot-! Even the nights were not bag. They were still muggy and warm. We brought long pants and sweater but never needed them. Hope this helps. :)

thank you for your opinion, and such a recent experience too! we are from Ontario as well. i should also mention we are going on the pirates and pals cruise so maybe it will be cool on the water? hmm...

Check the forecast.....you are from Ontario, I bet no one will need long pants & sweaters in Florida, even on the water. We are from the cold, snowy northeast. We have enjoyed the pools as Florida residents wear their winter coats. It is a highlight for us to see others bundled when we are enjoying May temperatures.

After my October 2009 trip, I always bring at least one of every item (including long pants and warm top). That trip, the first week was low-to-mid-90s every day. But then we had a cold spell and the temps dropped into the 60s! What I wouldn't have given for a pair of sweatpants and warm socks! I hated to buy this stuff at WDW prices, but now I bring at least one of everything.

I assume you are flying to Orlando. The airplanes are always cold so why not have each family member pick out a sweatshirt or lightweight jacket to wear on the plane? That will avoid the bulky packing and everyone will be okay if you get a cool evening. Enjoy your trip!

I just did a quick check of the ten day forecast.

Every day highs will be in the upper 80s and lows (usually which are at about 6:00am) will be about 72.

It is definitely t-shirts and shorts and sandals weather he whole time.

Nope, I wont be packing them for our upcoming trip. I may buy a hoodie while we are down there, I can just wear it home on the plane, but I wont need it at the world, for sure.

I'm the solo packer here too. We usually go in May. What I do is pack all the light things (shorts, tees, sandals, etc.) so as not to weigh it down. I also make sure that we have at least one pair of jeans or long pants, a sweater, and sneakers - just in case. We wear the heavier items on the way down. This helps with the airplane and temp change from home to Florida. Most of the time we don't need the stuff while in florida - but I'm happy to have it just in case.
Also now I pack for the baby - and for her I bring all kinds of clothes just to be safe. Especially for night time - the AC was stuck on low so I was happy to have her long jammies. Glad to say that in the 7mo she's been here she hasn't gotten sick!

We are bring one hooded sweatshirt and one pair of pants. Just in case. :) Last time we didn't need it in October.

We're from the Northeast and wear our jeans & sweaters or sweatshirts on the plane and then change once we arrive at MCO. We always do a load of laundry while at WDW so we can wear that same outfit home.

I always like to go prepared for hot or cool, but if I had to pack for 6 it would be hard to do. Bless you!!! I plan to wear my jeans and light jack on the plane and change into shorts when I get to the resort. Also packing 1 or 2 extra items for any cooler temps. Enjoy your trip...:)
