Leaving in 6 days; any advice???

Is it really as crowded as people say it is? How will I fare with the EMH? Fastpass? Any advice or strategies are greatly appreciated...

We're leaving Saturday am. Go to parks early, use FP and lower expectations. It WILL be crowded! Happy Holidays!

Get to the parks at opening. It is impossible to stress this enough. You will get more done in the first 2 to 3 hours of the day total than you will if you wait and get to the parks at 11 and stay there the rest of the day. You can always take a break midday if you need to catch up on your sleep. Have a list of a few things that you must do in each park and get them done first then look at anything else you do as a bonus. You can't do it all anyway so don't even try. Pack your patience and your sense of humor, you will need them. Don't forget that you're surrounded by magic but if you don't stop and just look around you every once in a while you'll miss it. Have a great trip!

My sentiments exactly! You're on vacation, follow the fun! That magic is all around you, so, if you are getting tense or anxious (and not having fun), count to 10 and look for a hidden Mickey.

I love that advice and I'll add that for my family when we started to get tense or anxious it was generally a clue that it was about time to head back to the resort. Next time we'll remember to look for some hidden Mickey's along the way.

I noticed that when it both was and wasn't crowded last week. The earlier the better. The later it gets, the heavier the crowds get.

You could rub some petrolium jelly down your sides to get thru the crowds faster. Cuz it was gettin' UGLY when we left. Oh yeah, and BRING SOME GOOD PONCHO'S. The weather channel and local forcasters were calling for rain for the next 7 days. Some days, all day rain and some just a "few showers".
