I just want to put some positivity out there for other people, like me, who are a little nervous about the changes and going to WDW soon.

Yes, I'm going to be there during the busiest time (Easter). Yes, FP+ is getting a lot of negative feedback. No, I was not super happy with the process of booking my FP+ selections.

But I try to think of it this way-
I've done my research. I, like everyone else on this board, probably have more info at my disposal than 90% of guests in the park that day. I can navigate the crowds and strategize my day as best as anyone can.

Short of unforeseen problems like ride closures, there are so many things that are going to go JUST FINE one my trip...

I am going to spend 5 days with other people who are obsessed with Disney. I know that every day, I have a FP+ for 3 things that I love doing. I know I'll do lots of other great things earlier in the day. I'm still going to see the MK welcome show and cry. I'm going to walk up Main Street and feel like a 5 year old seeing it for the first time. I'm going to experience lots of favorites that don't ever have a line or require fastpass, like the Tiki Room and the People Mover. I have a bunch of amazing dinner reservations. Every day, I'm going to have the kind of meal I could never have at home. I know that I'm going to meet Mickey. I'm going to have a Mickey Bar and my first Dole Whip. I'm going to smell popcorn and hear music everywhere. I'm going to trade pins and talk to friendly CM's. I'm going to ride the safari. I'm going to buy way too many souvenirs. I'm going to take too many pictures. Maybe I will even come home with a little suntan.

The bottom line is, I know change stinks and I have not had to really deal with FP+ yet, but even if it doesn't work great, and even if it's really crowded that week, there are still so many "givens" that I just can't get too bogged down by it.

I hope this helps others who are getting prepared to go and are a little apprehensive! Everyone's going to have a great time. If you think it's going to be a disaster, you might make it true. Just try to relax and remember that you love WDW and ultimately it's going to be fine!

You have a great attitude and I have no doubt you'll have a blast. :thumbsup2

A bad day in disney is always better than a good day at work or school.

I feel the same way. I made our ADRs yesterday, without ANY problems, including Be Our Guest. We go every August and start anticipating our next trip pretty much as soon as we return from WDW. Now that we have ADRs in place, the trip starts to feel close. We'll deal with FP+, monorail closures, attraction rehabs, whatever...it's still WDW!

Your going with the right attitude, I'm hope you have a magical trippixiedust:

You'll have a great time.pixiedust:

#1) because you want to:cool1:

Where else can you have a better time:thumbsup2

That's the way you have to look at it. We were just there mid Feb. We went thinking we were going to have a great time and we did. Did we get to ride all of our favorites multible times? No, but we didn't let that kill the fun. Your trip is what you make it to be. Go there expecting to have a great time and you will.
