Leaving in 4 days - Frustrating

As psyched as I obviously am, I'm a bit frustrated too. We're staying at the Hard Rock for 6 nights (first choice), and we've checked everyday for AP rates. Nothing. We could stay in a Deluxe Room at Portofino Bay with AP rate and save $700. But since we're only 4 days out, there's no way we could cancel, get refund and pay off new reservation in enough time.

We are leaving for our Hard Rock stay in a few days too! I called looking at these rates also and they are quite full so they do not need to offer the discount at this time. We have stayed at all of the on-site resorts and for us we will never go anywhere besides Hard Rock, even if it costs more. We absolutely love it! My advice would be to call the Hard Rock and explain the situation. While there might not be anything they can do, their service is always wonderful and they will try their best. I know it can be frustrating to think about the potential money saved, but just remember it's a vacation so make sure to have fun!

HRH is a smaller hotel, bookable room wise.
last time i read about the size, it listed 650 rooms.

the other two hotels have more rooms.


HRH doesn't need to discount rooms as they do fill up.
but, when discounts come out, they are included for hrh.


i do like the above poster, if i want a specific hotel and it costs more, i still stick with it.

If Hard Rock was your first choice, that's definitely worth something! And it sounds like it's not possible for you to float the new deposit, so it might be best to put it out of your mind and just enjoy your first choice resort.
