Sorry, just had to share my excitement with my fellow Canadians!
I leave in three more sleeps (well, two more sleeps, and one night where I go to bed early, lay awake all night and get up at 3 am to head to the airport early).
I am going to Disney World to stay for a week at Saratoga Springs Resort, and the only person coming with me this trip is by best friend, who I've known since grade 2. As we are now both in our mid-40's and our family's are getting older, we decided it was time for just 'us'. We went away together with no one else about 12 years ago, but only for a three day weekend for the Halloween party at Magic Kingdom. Now that the kids are older, and her birthday is approaching in August, we finally put our feet down and said we were going with no kids and no hubbies - we have done two family trips together to WDW with eight of us, and now with just two, we are more than excited. The only bummer is we couldn't budget in tickets for this trip, but we are excited to spend many hours by the pool reading books, visiting and having a cold beverage! We have tea booked at the Gardenview Tea Lounge (one of our must-do's every trip), and otherwise we are just taking each day as it comes. We are in a studio, so we'll be eating out a lot (we usually get a larger villa with full kitchen and get groceries). We are looking forward to only paying for one person eating out! And maybe we will catch a couple of movies, do some mini putting, explore the other resorts, and we have plans to visit the TOWL at Bay Lake, view Wishes from the Polynesian beach, search out many different cupcakes around the Resorts, and shop wherever we can! So my nice, relaxing and fun week away starts very soon, and I can't wait. Thanks for letting me share my excitement!
