We will be eating dinner at the Wilderness Lodge at 5:00pm and driving our car over to the Fort hopefully in time to catch the 6:30 sing-a-long with Chip and Dale. Can someone please tell me which internal bus to take from the parking lot to get to the campfire?

Then we have a reservation for the Holiday sleigh ride from Ft. Wilderness. Which bus then do I take from the campfire to the sleigh ride and then sleigh ride back to car?

I am trying to plan ahead and get our ducks in a row. Timing of this will be tight so I want to know ahead of time without taking to to get lost or ask directions.

I called what I thought was the Ft. directly and got someone at a call center who was no help at all. She kept directing me from the MK??? :confused3 and then wasn't even sure that there was in internal bus in the Ft. Then I finally got her to transfer me to someone directly, (again at least I thought) and he wasn't much help either. So, once again, the disboards to the rescue!

BTW, my son has a disability so walking long distances are harder for him. If we have a "short" walk to a bus stop it is not always a "short" walk for him. Thanks!!!

Take the Orange bus, and get off at the 600-800 bus stop. Take the sidewalk through the 600 loop and across the bridge to the campfire area.

I think the easiest way is to retrace your steps and take the Orange Settlement bus (not Orange Outpost) to the settlement stop. The sleigh rides depart from right next to the bus stop at the Settlement. Afterward, you can take any color Outpost bus (Orange, Yellow or Purple) to return to your car.

Like Dave said, if you drive from WL to FW, you will have to park in the overflow lot at FW, and take the Orange bus to the 800 loop bus stop. From there, follow the path through the 600 loop, over the foot bridge, and you will be at the campfire area.

But, if it were me, I would not drive from WL to FW. I would take the bus from WL to FW. Once that bus arrives at the Settlement bus stop, it will turn into an internal bus, and head through the campground up to the Outpost area. If you are lucky, it will become an Orange bus. Then you can exit at the 800 loop, and proceed as indicated above. If it is a Yellow bus, you can exit at the 1500 loop bus stop, and there is another bridge that you can walk across that will lead you past the pool, and then to the campfire area. If it becomes a Purple bus, get off, and wait for an Orange or Yellow bus.

Once you are done with the campfire, go to the 800 loop bus stop (by going back across the foot bridge), and take an Orange bus to the Settlement. You will catch the Sleigh ride at the Blacksmith shop, which is right next to the Settlement bus stop. The Sleigh rides go in a loop, and start and finish at the Blacksmith shop. The Sleigh will not take you to your car.

When you are done with your Sleigh ride, you can take a bus or boat back to WL, get in your car and go. Or, if you did park in the overflow lot at FW, then take whatever internal bus comes first, as they all head to the Outpost bus stop from here.

It is not as complicated as it sounds. Have fun.

Whew! Thanks so much! Everyone is so helpful - it is sad that even more so than Disney sometimes. I will write all of this down.

I asked about leaving our car at the WL and taking the bus over and they said it could only be parked there for 3 hours if we were not resort guests so I guess we will need to drive over. Also, someone mentioned not parking at the main gate lot, but parking in the second lot nearest Hoopdedoo Review. Is that correct? Thanks!!

There's actually only one lot for visitors at the Fort - it's marked for the Hoop-Dee-Doo and will be the 2nd left as you're driving over from WL. The bus stop is just about directly across from the Reception/Outpost building.

"I called what I thought was the Ft. directly and got someone at a call center who was no help at all. She kept directing me from the MK???"

What they wanted you to do was to park in the main parking lot (resort guests can park free there) go to MK and catch the boat to WL. That way you don't have to fill up a parking space at FW or WL.

Is it a good idea? That is another question.
