Leaving in 11 days (YAY!!) Need advice

We'll be visiting the parks on Oct. 7 & 8 and I found out recently that Gay Days are that weekend. I know that weekends are more crowded than weekdays but I'm wondering - has anyone been there for Gay Days and how crowded are the parks? Any advice as to the best time of day to go would be appreciated (our plan is to get there for opening, take a break in the afternoon and go back in the early evening).

from what i've heard.... don't wear a red shirt on gay day. I use to attend BIOLA and the school color is red. That school is a pretty conservative school, anyways parent weeked was the same weekend as gay day. Lets just say proud parents with their red biola shirts were not very happy. I might go if 2 of my other friends go, so if you see a group of dogs, stop by and say hi. Have a fun trip and maybe i'll c-ya there! Nicki and Tena
