Hi everyone we are leaving in 1 week from today :cool1:

I still have not made up my mind about Memory Maker :confused3

I like the idea of all of use being in pictures together .. but it is another $150….not sure what are your thoughts?

Thanks!

I'm on the fence about this too. I'm guessing it's like the old photopass but I don't remember photopass being $150. I take all the pictures and I'm an avid scrapbooker. When looking thru all my photos (which are MANY), I can honestly say 90 to 95% of the time I am not in the picture. To have pictures of all us as a family in WDW would be priceless. Like I said, I'm on the fence but probably will get it. I hope many more chime in. Maybe some have already had experience with it?

and i guess what are you buying??? I'm assuming that $150 buys you a CD with all the pictures…or do u have to buy the CD after u get home :confused3

Memory Maker is digital only. You get all ride photos, dining photos and any pics taken by photo pass photographers loaded to your account. You have 45 days from the date each pic was taken to download. You can download as many pics, as many times as you like. The pics come with a copyright release. Please make sure you buy on the 4th day BEFORE your trip starts for the $50 discount. If you don't give yourself enough time you will either have to pay full price for memory maker ($199) or have to pay for each photo download taken during your first 3 days individually ($14.99 each).

And the cd with Disney stock photos is not included. It is about $30 extra.

I am all for it as the photographers at Disney get some amazing shots that I know I couldn't get. It's worth the money for all the character interactions. The last two trips, the photographers got some amazing shots of our kids that I just cherish. The smiles!!

Plus I love the borders you can add to the photos!!

Dumb question. I ordered it for our trip next week and we have our magic bands. Now what? Just scan the band at each photographer or do we need to activate it, or??

The photographers will just scan your bracelet after they take the pictures, and they'll automatically link to you account. Easy!

I know we are definitely getting it for our trip in May.

We went in Sept. and kept forgetting our nice camera half the time and it became annoying to carry.

Disney photographers are experienced and have high-end cameras to take the best possible pictures. The photogs are everywhere and you are able to get everyone in the picture. Plus I love that you get every ride picture- my husband is a pro at making the most hilarious faces on the rides so we are going to have fun with that;)

$150 for unlimited digital pictures sounds like a fantastic deal to me!

Does anyone know if it can be used at the water parks? We purchased it for our upcoming trip with that in mind because our last trip they had photographers in the water and I thought it would be cool to have water shots but I've never see it mentioned. And wasn't sure if that's part of Memory Maker??

Our extended family is going to WDW Dec. 13th -20th. I may have jumped the gun but I have already purchased the Magic Maker. There are basically four groups of us staying in a Grand Villa. We plan on one meal together a day. Each group will go there own way meeting up for that meal. So hopefully they will be able to get pictures wherever they go and we can link them all together. At least that is what I was told when I purchased it.:thumbsup2

We ended up getting lucky and our travel agent gave us FP+ for free before our trip, I will definitely be insisting on it for future trips! It is so nice to have the pictures of all of us together on a camera nicer than mine in all the parks, wide all the effects and borders. When we were there I mentioned to dh that the price is about what you would pay a normal family photographer but you get SO much more than with a normal family photographer.

A friend of mine told me she had over 1200 pictures from their last trip there using Memory Maker, so I think it's worth it. I am getting it when we go in Oct because I actually want to be in the pics, not behind the camera like I ALWAYS am lol :)

I would absolutely get it. Well worth the money if you want to preserve precious memories! I did the photopass package before and am doing the memory maker for our upcoming trip. They captured some amazing pictures of our daughter that my wife and I would have never been able to take.

Small price to pay for lasting memories!!

Can you pay with a disney gc for it? Just wondering if it helps save a little extra $ if you can pay with a gc.

I'm thinking about buying the memory maker for our trip this summer. I have a question - if we split up, can the photographers scan my husbands or my wrist band? I'd want them all to be on the same account of course. How does that work if your group splits up?

You can link them all up together!! He can scan anyone on your group.

:)

We're leaving next Saturday and I'm pretty sure I want to purchase Memory Maker.
One question: When these photos are taken and linked to an account, this is the MDE account? Okay, 2 questions ;): Will these photos stay in the account forever, or do they need to be downloaded?
