Leaving GCH during Star Wars 10K

We are staying at GCH for 4 nights starting tomorrow. We've got a flight leaving Saturday morning which means we'll have to be leaving the resort about the time the race is being run. According to run Disney information basically all roads coming and going from the GCH area will be closed from midnight to the end of the race.

I've never been to Disneyland before and I'm kind of stressing about getting to John Wayne for our flight. I'm sure there has to be a way for people to get in and out of the resorts but I can't seem to find it. Any help or input to put my mind at ease before we get there will be much appreciated.

I would call the hotel and ask them, as this happens every race weekend so I am sure they have a plan in place for their guests checking out during the street closures. We stayed off site during the Avengers race weekend, and there were signs up all over the hotel explaining what was closed, and what to do if you needed to leave during the time period the streets were closed.

Definitely check with the hotel but you can also check out the runDisney site to download/view the SW Race Guide. It has a map with the times of road closures or roads that have limited access.
