We are leaving Friday and we can't agree on a building for POP. We stayed 70's the last trip and I was thinking 50's to be closer to the pool, food court, etc. But my DD thinks we'll be too far then from the buses and wants to stay in 70's again. We don't have a preferred room. Couldn't justify the extra dollars. It just didn't seem worth it. Can anyone help me out?

from what i know ( this is from experience a few years ago), they don't asign your room till the day before or the day of (at about noon) and even then you can still ask at check in for a specific area or room- but remember the areas closest to the pool and main building usually are a room upgrade so you may have to pay a little bit more to get that area.

I have worked in hotels, as has my brother, and I can vouch that this is most likely the case. Rooms are not assigned until usually the morning of check in, although because there are so many early check ins for WDW, possibly the night before (perhaps the auditors do it).

I would definitely do it tonight or early tomorrow, though, although it wouldn't hurt (but wouldn't help your chances) if you called Friday morning.
