Leaving for VB in 3 days! Where to eat off property??

Our favorite is Ocean Grill. It is not a cheap place, but in my opinion, it is worth every dime. We went at prime dinner hour, and waited about 90 minutes for a table. At the time they said they did not take reservations. There is a bar area to wait for your table, however this may not be the best if you have kids.
If you go early, I doubt you would have much of a wait. We went there to check out the place at 5:00pm, and the place was empty.
It should be noted that Shutters and Sonya's are very nice places as well.
Also, there are two books just to the left of check-in filled with local restaurants and their menus.

Enjoy your trip to VB....

We don't go off property much but when we do.....

Ocean Grill.

The Holiday Inn near the Ocean Grill also serves up a nice meal.

Always go to Casey's Place in town for a casual lunch at a picnic table-YUM!!!!! I can't tell you how to get there but it is across the street from the Sea Turtle Inn, I think.

If you are looking for a dessert or snack. Rita's Italian Ice. Again, YUM!!!

We also love the restaurants at the resort.

HAVE FUN.

................We will be at VB in 7 days............and can't wait.

There is a GREAT place called the "Hardwood Grill" ( I think). It is only about a 5-10 min. drive from the resort. Outstanding food and service and real close. (desserts are awesome!) Also the "Black Pearl" downtown VB. There is a great deli in town also called "Chelsies" and they have a lot of stuff you can bring back to the resort to cook, have a picnic, etc. Super wine and breads also.

We ate at Mr. Manatees in Indian River. Very good seafood and relatively inexpensive. IE: kids meals were $3.50 and adult entrees ranged between $6 and $19. I had an encrusted dolphin sandwich for $7 that was huge and very good. This is an out-of-the way place in like a marina area. We were just driving around and found it. It is in the phone book though. I'm sure you could ask directions.
