Oh, well.... allowing other people to express opposing opinions is a societal idea that will never fly.... much better to label them Commies and doctor up phony photos to demonstrate just how subversive they really are (anyone remember Joe McCarthy..?).

boycotting is so stupid in my opinion, lets just all go out and boycott everything so we can kill the economy

It's supposed to be only about music and nothing else yet Everyone seems to forget that and go on what mistakes singers make, true loyalists at work.

I love their music and would go watch them in a heartbeat or hang out with them, I don't care what they have said or will say, music is music not politics or stupid comments.

Toby started talking smack about natalie way before she said anything, he said in country weekly that she had a big mouth and needed to learn to keep it shut and that she wasn't in his league as a songwriter.

I'm not boycotting the Dixie Chicks, but I think Natalie's comment was a stupid thing to say in wartime.
As far as the feud, I'm on Toby's side (can't help it....I've had a major crush on him for a while now.) I don't think Natalie's songwriting abilities are as good as his.

I hadn't heard the whole Toby vs. Natalie thing. I'll vote for Natalie on the song writing. I've never been a big Toby fan. Very interesting though.

I personally am big fans of both Toby and the Chicks, and I don't really care what either of them say about each other. I'm sure I'll have a great time tomorrow night, and I saw Toby back in March and he was absolutely awesome!!!

I am with Natalie on this one all the way! I used to be a big Toby Keith fan and even though I like his music I don't think his songwriting is anywhere near as good as the Dixie Chicks (wishful thinking on his part I guess.) I also don't think the boycotting makes a lot of sense even though along with Natalie having the right to say ANYTHING that she wants, people have the right to boycott if they think it's the right thing to do. For me it's about the music not about the people, I don't like the Toby Keith song but I wouldn't quit listening to all his music, just because I think that particular song is ignorant.

I too refuse to buy any DC albums etc.As far as boycotting I feel as long as these celebraties have an open microphone to voice their opinions.I am voicing my disagreement with their opinions.If I had their phone number then I would be able to tell them personally.So until then I will voice my disagreement with my wallet.
