we just got back from the airport....DD's plane is scheduled to take off in just a few minutes...

security and check in weren't too bad....and she was moved up to an exit row with lots and lots of room.....
so that's wonderful (her original seat was the second to last row of the plane)...

so far so good... hopefully things will continue to go smoothly for her...

she arrives in orlando on september 3rd!! (she'll be in NYC until then)..

she's a tall, thin blonde....her day backpack that she usually goes around with has about 7 small disney stuffed animals hanging on the back (she bought them at Tokyo disney last year)...

for anyone flying indirect via JFK in New York - DD said the non-US citizen passport control was very very slow.

DD went through the US citizen side (which she said was terribly disorganized - she'd never seen it so disorganized) while her friend went through the non-citizen side...
DD waited a full 30 minutes for her friend to come through...needless to say, she was very worried her friend had been taken off for interrogation....though that's not what happened...

her friend said that it went slowly because the passport control officers were questioning each person for a long time (she got through quickly, but others took a really long time)...

and interestingly, on both sides, citizen and non-citizen, there were only men working....no women passport control officers....i noticed the same thing in detroit..
very strange....
