Okay, if anyone out there lives near Danbury CT, we will be there between 7:00 and 7:30 to see if anyone is there to trade with. I know this is a long shot, but I thought I would post anyway and if you live near there, please come join us! I am bringing my two older kids. Rachel had a hard night last night, so she really wants to trade with someone!

Join us if you would like...please! There is hardly anyone ever there.

Sharon, I hope you & the children had a good evening at your TDS. I did!!

I got a GREAT package in the mail today from my Secret Santa - ok, the person who went to the Star Spangled pin event & got me a "few" pins. THANK YOU you know who! I took them to the TDS & showed them off - I'm surprised my Mickey & Minnie light up & Star Spangled Banner pins still work - I'm like a kid in a candy store playing with them :) :bounce: :bounce:!!

We played them while sitting at the outer rim bar at the Cont. and everyone stood up and put their hand over their hearts...and then Eddie sang the SS B on his Nextel, and we had the whole room on their feet, it was toooo funny...

Sharon..I hope you did some good trading and the kids had fun..do they have any special pins up there, or only DS pins??

Hi guys....well, we were the only ones there (as we have been all the times we tried) but it was good to get out and walk around the mall. Rachel had a major seizure-type thing last night and ended up in the ER, and it was a harrowing night for her (and us), so it was good to have this little "mini-vacation". We did find one cute pin on the CM lanyard that was not there before, a Dumbo with a paintbrush. Everything else was pretty basic, DS stuff, and even one metal Mickey head. There was a Pinocchio on there too that was probably a WDW pin, but we decided to leave it for the next collector so they would have something a little different to trade for.

Actually, though, the highlight of our trip to the mall was going to the Sharper Image store...lol!! Rachel rode around the store on one of those Razor scooters, David played chess with this mini handheld computer thingie (he won) and all of took turns sitting in this very cool massaging chair that costs $1,500. (David actually said we should sell our pins and buy the chair!! But then he said "Just kidding mom!". I'm telling you, that store has every major thing you will never own because it's too damn expensive. We ate in the food court, walked around the mall, stopped to buy the Harry Potter movie on VHS, and stopped by the DS one last time on the way out to see if anyone had come in (but to no avail).

They don't have any really special pins there, but there were still some of the basic Lilo and Stitch pins on the rack, as well as some very discounted gallery Bambi pins that we bought for our trip down to Disney in November to trade with the CMs. They are very cute, actually! We managed to avoid making another major purchase (with those dolls at $9.99, it was hard!). Maybe we'll see one of you there sometime, but we're looking forward to our meet on Saturday!
