Hi everyone! DD is having a great time having extended at WDW College Program. Job is terrific and we love hearing her stories each day. I, that's right, I am going stag, will be going from Feb. 18-29. Can't wait to have mother daughter time.....that is when she is not working. New apartment, roommates, job etc. are all going well.

Just added a new member to our family....... we adopted a pug that needed a home. We already have one, but when I saw this dog and new it had been in two homes where people could not care for him, I gave it a try. Now we are attached! (Can't wait till our next family vacation where we will have to pay for boarding two dogs!) How are all my friends doing? Miss talking to you. How about some updates on how you are all doing. Anyone going to be around DW when I am there? Wish we could have connected when I was there in Dec., but we were with sister-in-law and kids and couldn't get away since we hadn't seen them in 2 years. Keep in touch. Marla

Mirmatt, I live only 15 mins away so anytime you or anyone else is in WDW let me know. I travel for work so not always in time but it would be great to meet fellow WDW lovers.

I am so jealous! I have been reading your posts and keep getting mad at my dear 'ol Dad who wouldn't let me go when I was accepted to the college program. That was years ago, but I still fume over it! At least I know that I'll let my DS go one day if he wants to. If anyone's reading this and debating whether to let your child go or not, please give them the chance. I think it's a great opportunity. Hope those there are having a great time!!

I really enjoyed reading all 29 pages of this thread. While I always thought the WDWCP would be just glorious, it was also important to read that it isn't always so perfect. Have dreams of my 16 & 17 yr olds doing this program some day. Just reading these comments from parents can be so enlightening.

Congratulations to all of you (both CP and parents)!

And I got the biggest kick out of the obsession with Property Control. It reminded me so much of my "dumpster digging sister"!!

for the 2004 Fall Advantage Program. She starts in May. I don't have much information on this program - Thanks Prince of Thieves for the Links!

She told me her paperwork says she'll be in merchandising. She is studying hotel mangement at school. Is this a good position? It seems so to me, because the hours may be ok.

What is the best way for her to get in touch with CP'ers who are already there and will be there through the summer or are just starting out like her. So many questions....

Congrats to your dd!!! That is very exciting news! How long was it between the interview and when your dd found out she was accepted? My ds interviewed exactly two weeks ago tonight, and he still hasn't heard anything. I'm so anxious I can hardly stand it!!!

Katy, congratulations to your daughter! My daughter was in Attractions last spring and loved it! She is going down to work Spring Break and looking forward to doing the WDWCP again sometime.

jk1 - thanks for the encouragement! Actually, it's my son who is waiting to hear back from Disney right now. Everyday just drags by! He's hoping to head down for the summer/fall program. Ohhhhhhh I hope he hears sooooooon!!!!!

I'm sorry about that, Deb. Read your post a bit too fast. Good luck to your son. What roles did he put down on his application?

No problem, jk1. I think my ds checked about every role possible on the application! lol Actually, he pretty much went on the recommendations of a recent cp friend (prince of thieves) and applied for lifeguard and custodial. He did check a few other roles, but those are the two he's most interested in. Of course, he would be happy to be accepted into any role as long as he gets in!

Waiting to hear from Disney is soooooo hard! It's been 15 days since his interview. Please send pixie dust our way!!!

As you may know we will be there next week! I still have your cell # from when you moved down there. Probably sure you have gotten a local cell #. Since we did such a great job of getting together at Christmas, maybe we can try again. Send me a PM.. We will leave Friday night and get there Sat. DS has to get his ID redone since he is working for spring break.

Next week will be far less stressful for us then Christmas was!
