We are leaving the Saturday after Thanksgiving but we're driving so we won't actually get there until Sunday night. I vowed to myself to be careful in the days before we leave not to get overly tired or sick, so what did I do? I invited a bunch of my family to my house for Thanksgiving dinner! Good one. :rotfl:

Nothing like having approx. 23 relatives (including my own family) over for turkey dinner 2 days before we are set to leave for a 2 day drive! :earseek: No stress there. I'm already tired just thinking about it. Oh well. Just wanted to vent. All of you spending Thanksgiving day at WDW... you're lucky. No tales of Thanksgiving gone wrong for you this year. :)

Hey, I'll be getting there about the same time as you!

I went the "stress-free" route of offering to work all of my days off in Oct & Nov to earn extra money for the trip. Such a relaxing thing to do! :rotfl2:

Eeek! I am leaving the Monday after Thanksgiving. Just me and dd for dinner, maybe I will invite her dad (my soon-to-be-ex) and that's it! Turkey and everything else comes from the freezer, a box or a can! I have to work Friday, but I'll have Saturday and Sunday to pack (thank goodness). Now lets hope no one gets sick to boot!

I feel your stress!!!!

DH and I leave 7 a.m. on Sunday the 27th. I too will have T-day for everyone, (6 children with their 6 spouses with our 11 grandchildren). We also have Christmas Eve here. Since we will be at WDW for 2 weeks, I have to have all the Christmas shopping done, wrapped, house decoracted with tree up and all before we leave. Add to this mix I just got 2 kittens, we already have one cat and one dog. I work full time and therefore every minute between now and when we leave is planned. So yesterday I come down with the cold from ... well I don't know where it's from but if I find the sucker that gave it to me torture is in my plan!

Stress? Yea, I feel your pain! Just keep repeating the following phrase, it helps me through the day... "I'm going to Disney! I'm going to Disney!" :cool1:

We are leaving the day after Thanksgiving and having around 50-75 show up. But we have a huge building we get together in and we dont have to cook for everybody.
Look at it like this...you will be helping to make your family a nice Thanksgiving to remember. Then WDW will be helping you to unwind from it. ;)
Good luck and Pixie Dust blowing your way!

On the bright side you will be going to wdw at a slow time of year. We were there for the week of Thanksgiving (just as busy as Easter or Summer, horrible crowds) and the week after Thanksgiving (the rides were walk on and the place was eerily disserted, It was wonderful).

Have fun

We are leaving on Sunday after Thanksgiving, arriving at WDW on Monday. I don't have to be responsible for the Thanksgiving dinner though....However, I am trying to put together a surprise 40th birthday party for my DH on Saturday. :earseek: See you there

Thanks guys! I think we all deserve a massage!! A nice long one. Given by a tall, handsome cowboy with deep brown eyes and a nice smile..... Okay, snap back to reality! :goodvibes

We're leaving the Sunday after Thanksgiving and this year we're going out to dinner for Thanksgiving instead of having 25-30 people here. I knew it would be too much. I'm leaving our DS(18) and DS(20) here at home and I need to get some food ready for them not to mention the packing for us.

Start a new thanksgiving tradition -

Order PIZZA!

Really, it doesn't matter what you eat, it just matters that you are together.

P.S. See you down there - we arrive on the Sunday as well - staying at AKL.

I feel your pain! I am cooking for 11 on Thanksgiving, have 2 football games on Saturday(if we make it to the championship like last year!)......and leaving Sunday morning at 7 am! Boy will we need the break!
