Have my eldest DD's Year 4 leaver's assembly tomorrow, where does the time go?:confused3 , I can't believe that in 2yrs time, she'll be ready for leaving Junior school :sad2: , I really hope Yr5 will be a little bit easier for her, ok I know she's mine and I'm biast, but she's a love :lovestruc most of the time :rolleyes1 , BUT she's a loner when it comes to school and long's to be liked by everyone :confused3 and tries to be everyone's friend, she had me in tears yesterday when she explained to me about moving tables and having to right down the names of 3 friends they'd like to sit next to, and that she was sat next to none of her 3 friend's :sad2: , and that her friend's were sat altogether on a table opposite her, and then how at playtime that no-one let's her play and she wander's around the playground on her own :sad1:, oh I have a tear in my eye now typing this!, ok I'm sure not every day is like this and she does play with other's and maybe she was just having an emotional day yesterday.

Oh Karen that's so sad...big hugs for you and your DD. :grouphug:

Thanks Claire :goodvibes , we had lot's of hugs yesterday as you can imagine!

sending a big hug to your DD

Sending a  to you and your DD.

Karen that is so sad. Sending lots of 's for you and your DD.

Big 's all round. I would be tempted to have a word with her teacher, it seems very unfair that she didnt get to sit with her friends.

I would have a word because she should have got sat next to at least one of her friends.

Oh that's sad.Dd7 was like this when she first started school-always on her own etc..and you feel so helpless as to what to do.But thankfully all that changed and she is now so popular, they get her to look after the newbies or others who find it difficult to make friends. She also has her leavers assembly next friday+has a speaking part-she is The Fire Of London, you are right it goes so quick when you have children,dd7 will be leaving this school to go to a new school+start Year 3 in Sep.I hope all goes well for your dd today in her leaver's assembly-let us know how she gets on.x.

Thanks for all your kind words everyone :grouphug: , the leaver's assembly was very entertaining!!;) all the children were involved one way or another, my DD had a couple of speaking parts, she was a news reader at one point, and when she's on stage she becomes a completely different child, SO full of confidence and she just shine's, the little sheepish child with her thumb in her mouth just disappear's :confused3.
As for the seating arrangements in class I'm going to leave it as she only has just under 2wk's left in this class and then she moves into a new room, with a new teacher :goodvibes

glad it went well, well done to your DD :goodvibes

Your DD sounds a lot like I was at school so I know how tough it is  I hope next year is easier for her, it's hard being a girl at that age!

Im glad DD's leaving assembly went well:cutie:

Huge hugs to you and your little one Karen, it must be so upsetting for you when she is sad x Fingers crossed that she is able to sit with her friends when the new term starts.
