Leave on Jan.12...My flight has been cancelled!!!!

Oh my God, we are 8 people...4 of which have never travelled before. They are panicking. I have to find us new flights...suggestions??

Our dates are Jan.12-23...Buffalo using Southwest looks good but they are nervous and our return would have a stopover. Jetsgo looks okay but they fly into Sanford.

Help!!!!!

I booked through them originally. They are now saying they didn't know, however Sunwing credited the charges on Dec.10th. They have a skyservice flight that is more than what we originally paid. We can't alter our dates as everything has been booked vacation time etc.

Sunwing has decided they are flying to Orlando and has decided they are not protecting the passengers that have booked with them.

I'm picking up YYZ-Sanford for $324.49...but I can't punch in any more than 7 pax...

I do know that www.fltours.com will do airport pickups in Sanford...

I've flown Southwest a number of times out of Buffalo -- sounds like you're coming out of Toronto -- it's quick and easy to get into the airport in Buffalo. Parking will run you about $7/day -- might want to look into a hotel that has free parking and shuttle to airport. Also, try AirTran out of Rochester (as well as JetBlue) -- all are good, inexpensive airlines.
If the airline has gone out of business and you used c.c., you might have some recourse -- but if you're in Canada, I'm not sure. I would NOT recommend using USAir as they are looking weak right now and mid-January is when things are going to happen.

Not sure which airline but sounds like a CHARTER FLIGHT which if you read the fine print, they can do what ever they feel like! and not do a dang thing for you! Like Air Transat for me two Easter's Ago! when they took a whole day away from me! They Told Me I Was SOL!

And for that I will not fly Charters!

Tracey, I hope everything works out OK for you! I would try out of Buffalo and it would probably work out a lot cheaper!

Okay, I'm calm. The airline was Kelowna which is a charter airline that was being sold by Tour Operator Sunwing. We used a travel agency, selloffvacations to make the booking. We were flying toronto to MCO, we didn't want Sanford. Someone else said they were rebooked on Sanford so I assumed I would get the same thing. I think it was Sunwing who decided they were no longer going to fly to Orlando, so they refunded our credit card back on Dec.10. The problem is nobody called to tell us. I called last night after checking Sunwing's website and seeing they don't have Orlando listed as a destination. The TA new nothing and had me call back this a.m., he phoned Sunwing and found out about the credit. If I didn't call myself, I still wouldn't know.

Now the good news, we have found flights out of Buffalo. Our dates, except the way home is a connection through Baltimore instead of direct. But the price is $180 CDN cheaper for each of us...we are 8. Oh well, it's all worked out in the end, but boy am I angry!

Mom and dad are booked to the DR from MCO on Feb10-24 on...you guessed it, USAir.

Any tips? They're going to be stressed....

OH NO!!!!! We're booked to fly with Kelowna to MCO on Jan.7th. I wonder if we're cancelled too?!!!! Breathe, breathe!!!

We have flown with both Southwest and Jetblue out of Buffalo and it worked very well.

I like JetBlue the best but they are sometimes a bit more than SWA. JetBlue has personal TV's for each seat.

Okay, I'm also in panic mode. I've heard nothing yet from my T.A. Is the info that ALL Kelowna FLightcraft flights from YYZ to MCO are cancelled? Yikes! We're supposed to be flying out January 2. I guess I'll call as soon as the offices open in the morning! Anybody have any idea where I could find more info on the web?

I checked everywhere and couldn't find info on the web, only found out when my TA called the tour company. I called them, they didn't call me. Another diser flying on Jan.2 was told her flight with Kelowna was cancelled but the tour operator put her on Jetsgo. Do you know what Tour Operators you are booked with?

I really am not sure who cancelled but it sounds like Kelowna....Sunwing decided to not offer passengers protection, other tour operators may rebook you. Don't panic yet.

Well, I've been on the phone all am with selloffvacations and sunwing and have resolved nothing thus far. Our flight hasn't been cancelled but Kelowna is not flying to orlando anymore and they're trying to find another carrier to put all of us on!! We leave in 16 days!!!AHHHH! My husband has been training for the marathon for almost a year now and is furious. I just hope it all gets figured out soon or they just refund my money so I can book elsewhere. Lesson to be learned; cheaper is not always to best way to go!!! Jenn

I called Sunwing and got NO answers even when I asked point blank is there a flight or not? They just directed me to my TA whom I had already e-mailed. By 9:20 I had an e-mail from my TA telling me that we would be flying skyservice instead on the same dates, slightly different hours. Sunwing hadn't contacted anyone, and my TA wouldn't have known to check on it if I hadn't sent her a heads up. At least I'm still flying into MCO. Who knows when I would have found out if not for these Boards! Thanks guys.
