My FH and I will be in Disney for our Honeymoon in July. We have the Dream Maker Gold Package, and one of our 'gifts' is a Leave a Legacy tile at Epcot. Can anyone explain to me what this is? How it works? And where/when we need to do this? Is this something that is best done BEFORE hitting the parks for a day, or is it that busy?

THANKS!

::MickeyMo It's in Epcot. DBF and I did it last year. It's right in the entrance, so I would do it before you start hitting the attractions because they do take your picture. They take your picture and it will get put on a 1 inch tile which goes on these huge structures that are near where you get your picture taken. About a month or so later (I don't remember exactly how long) they send you your picture in the mail and where to find your tile on the stone structures. It's pretty neat. We did it last year so when we go next week we'll get to see it on the structures. We enjoyed it, it's neat, and it's guaranteed to be there until 2008. ::MinnieMo

We've got 4 pictures out there now. DH and his best friend just did it on our last trip in December. It's pretty neat to have the kids find their pictures and see how they looked several years ago. It was either with DVC or AP that we got a buy one get one free deal. That was a very nice perk to get! ::MinnieMo

My husband and I did this when we were there a few weeks ago. I did not know that it wouldn't be there forever!!! They never told us that! I kept saying it would be nice for our children and grandchildren to see it some day. Darn, I don't even know if we will get back to Disney before 2008!!! :confused3 :confused3 :confused3

Does it only include a picture? Can you have words added? I wanted to put my fathers picture on one but he has passed away recently and wondered if i could bring a picture. We want to do this because he was the one that showed all of us the way to the MAGIC! We miss him very much and thought this would be so cool to do for him. He could always be at DISNEY! If anyone knows anything about this please let me know!!!!!
Thanks, Hookedondizney :flower:

We also have 4 now. Lots of memories. Since it is near the entrance to Epcot convenient to have it done when you go in. Takes about 10 mins.

Yes, there are certain types of words that can be put on the tiles. Don't know all the details because we've never done it. Don't know if they can do something from a picture either. Hope someone else can answer that for you. ::MinnieMo

I think leave a legacy are photo etches only-can't ever remember being asked to add any words to ours. described in passporter as "guests can leave their images on metallic tiles for a fee". They then take the tiles and attach them to one of several "monolith" sculptures. In the mail about 2 weeks later you receive a card with 2 plastic copies of your tile and the location so you can locate your tile the next time you visit WDW.
Hope this helps.

Does anyone have a picture of what this looks like? Is there a fee?

I think this is the info you are looking for.
