Leave a legacy at Epcot questions

I'll be going back down to the World in a little over a month! Woohoo! Anyways, it will be my first trip with my bf to Disney so I'd like to surprise him and take him right to the Leave-A-Legacy station at Epcot and add our picture to it. It'd be a nice start to our annual Disney trip. Do I just walk up and have our picture taken? Is it open all the time (during regular park hours)? And how much is it? Thanks!

I believe when we did it the cost was $35. Yes, you just go to the Leave a Legacy counter, fill out some papers, and have your picture taken.

When we did this (almost 3 years ago) you couldn't see your tile on the wall right away. It was taking 3 - 4 months for them to get them up on the wall. They then sent you something saying where your tile was.

HOWEVER, I have read that now it is taking a few days to get on the wall so if that's true, get it done at the beginning of your trip.

I just got engaged at Disney on May 3rd. My finance and I decided to get a tile to remember this trip. We got 2 tiles, one with writing on it and another that is placed right next to it with our pictures on it. I'm not sure how long it takes to actually get them engraved, but we had our confirmation in the mail within a month.

We went around 11AM and had to fill out paperwork and then got our picture taken. There wasnt anyone there so it only took about 15 minutes. If there is a line it migth take a bit longer. I would think its open most of the time but if you pick a late morning - mid afternoon time they should be open no problem. Have fun!
