In your opinion which one is "missable" just in case a Palo reservation interferes schedule wise? :boat:

Definitely Hercules. What ever you do don't miss the Golden Mickey's. My little girl (actually my wife!) still talks about them.

Hmm...I have to agree...Hercules. It's good, mind you. Just not as un-missable as the others. You might think that the variety show with the ventriloquist could be a candidate (if she's still playing), but she was VERY funny. I'd definitely not miss that one.

Don't miss any of the shows...all 3 are excellent...you should have no problem juggling a Palo res. with either early or late show

I really enjoy all three; which one to miss depends on your taste. Hercules is full of corny but funny humor and makes the most sense if you've seen the movie. Disney Dreams and Golden Mickeys work in as many Disney characters as possible and are what I think of as "traditional" Disney shows.

I liked Hercules the best, with Golden Mickeys being 2nd. I didn't enjoy Disney Dreams nearly as much, except the very end was cool.

We're going on the 4 night cruise (our first), isn't there a fourth show? There are four nights, so wouldn't there be 4 shows?

My husband LOVES Disney Dreams, but for some reason the Cinderella scene (the part at the ball) totally bores him! I can't tell you how many times I've caught him nodding off.

I'm with alexandrew, don't miss any of them, especially if this is your first Disney Cruise. Each one has it's special charms. We love them all and while Hercules tends to get knocked a bit on the boards, it is one of our favorites. More so because at a Q & A session with one of the casts, they said it was their favorite because of the music. And if you really pay attention, they are doing all the museic from the movie, but live on stage. And my older kids, 17 & 14 still quote Pain and Panic.

There is certainly room enough in the schedule to get Palo reservations and enjoy the shows.

Golden Mickeys is my least favorite. Far too much film footage and monologue used as filler.

Contrary to popular opinion, Hercules is my favorite. It's not stop singing, dancing, action, and joke-telling and it appears to me the performers are actually having fun in this one.

That said, I wouldn't miss any of them if you've never seen them.

Anyone know the answer?

Sure there is - there will be a variety/cabaret show of some sort featuring a singer or comedian or magician or ventreliquest (ok i really mangled that word :yo-yo: ) or juggler or something/someone. On the 12/5/04 sailing this show was on Nassau day (2nd night)

BTW - I would not miss any of the shows especially if this is your first DCL cruise. They are all good in their own way. Since you're on the 4 nighter - skip Palo for dinner and go to the brunch - the brunch is awesome (first hand experience). The dinner is supposed to be terrific too (but I've never been -- We've always enjoyed our servers and tablemates and didn't want to miss any of the rotational dinning.

RE: Hercules -- every time we've seen it they have had very strong singers belting out that great Herc music - the "muses" do a great job of presenting the music -- and the story. Pain and Panic always do a good job.

o.k., thanks. Is this show as good as the others?

On our cruise it was a comedian.

In order, from what we enjoyed most to least:

Hercules
The comedian
Golden Mickey's
Disney Dreams

They had matinees of both Golden Mickey's and Disney Dreams - we saw them both in matinee otherwise the kids would have slept through.

We also really enjoyed Hercules....it was very funny! After reading all the raves about Disney Dreams I was so excited to see it, and just didn't like it all that much. It wasn't that bad...and the ending was awesome....but kind of a let down after so much hype.
