LEAST fav. resort?

My least favorite is AKL. Mainly being that it was virtually impossible to escape the throngs of people. I also missed having outdoor grounds to walk around. The only outdoor public area (aside from the Savannah viewing areas) was the pool which was constantly crowded.

We have stayed at AKL, WL, POFQ & Dolphin & our least favorite was definitely the Dolphin. Cold corridors, cold pool, cold front desk workers (on more than one occasion), the room definitely needed updating, beds uncomfortable, etc. Sorry S/D cheerleaders. I would consider trying the Swan once more to see if it's any better. The positives were proximity to boardwalk, EPCOT & MGM. The boat access & drivers were really nice.

We've stayed at BC, WL,POR(FQ) and ASMU and without a doubt, POR was our least favorite. I definitely prefer a deluxe hotel, but when we are on a budget, I would stay at an Allstar Resort over POR! To me, there isn't a great difference between the moderates and AS, so we would rather save$.

We've stayed at the Polynesian, PORS, CBR, CSR and Allstar Music. My least favorite by far was the Allstar Music Resort. My experience was tiny rooms, no restaurant, no pool slide, too much noise and terrible bus service (which I understand isn't normal). My least favorite from just visiting is the Grand Floridian. I keep comparing it to the magnificent Hotel del Coronado which it copies and it just doesn't match up IMHO.

I'm stuck in a rut now since I keep trying to go back to the Polynesian and PORS both of which I really love. It's really just a matter of individual taste. :)

We've stayed at CBR, WL, ASMO and AKL. Hands down, our least favorite was CBR. While the grounds were beautiful and well kept, our room was very worn and tired looking. Also not terribly clean (DD spilled some water on the floor and I soaked it up with a towel. We were horrified by how filthy the towel was when I was done!)

That said, we also don't find a lot of bang for the buck with moderates. I'd rather stay deluxe or value any day than moderate.

We've only been to the world twice, and during those two visits we stayed at CBR & CSR.

Of the two, my least favorite would be CBR. The ONLY reason , is that compared to CSR, the transportation was no where near as good. Our buses were always standing room only at CBR, and at CSR we never had that problem.

But other than that, we found both resorts comparable in theming, rooms etc.

My least favorite is All Star Music. It's too spread out and I didn't like the theme. However, I love All Star Sports :).

Actually I've stayed at OKW and I'll take an All Star any day over going back there again. The bus service was terrible.

My least favorite of all the resorts we have stayed at is AKL. The room was dark, small and dreary and the hallways and lobby were freezing cold. I missed not having grounds to walk around. I know people will not understand this at all, but after a few days I was even sick of the smell in the lobby that everyone raves about. As good as the food is at the AKL, I felt like I was staying in the balcony of a cafeteria. It is one of those places you either love or dislike intensely.

Not that I have stayed at, and I hate to judge a resort, otherwise. However, just from outside appearence and overall theming, I am not fond of AS-Sports, or Coronado Springs.

Of course, I always thought the same thing about the Contemporary until I stayed there.:o

We always have a rental car to resort hop and go to DD..............and have been going there for 5 years, and we never had to wait more than 15 minutes for a bus to go to one of the theme parks.

Let me get this straight.................you wouldn't want to stay in a 1 or 2 BR at OKW with full kitchen,jacuzzi,washer-dryer,separate living room, private balcony, etc.

We've stayed on-site in only 3 places: AKL, POFQ, and ASMu--listed in descending order of preference. AKL was extraordinary and we loved it. POFQ was wonderful; we had a great stay. ASMu was so noisy I barely slept and it was an aesthetic downer, to put it nicely. I know lots of people love it there and the price was certainly cheap, but we won't be staying there again.

For our next visit, we're trying the Swan.

Not sure why you keep rolling your eyes but yes I would choose an All Star over OKW. The atmosphere didn't appeal to me and (at the time) the bus service was lousy. When I stayed at OKW a couple of years ago I waited between 30-40 minutes on several occasions for a bus going to the parks. And no, I'm not exaggerating. I had a studio because there are only two of us so I didn't have a full kitchen, washer, dryer or several bedrooms. At that rate I'd gladly stay at an All Star for better bus service and a few more food options.

Our personal rankings from most to least favorite (only ranking those we have stayed at):
Wilderness Lodge
Poly
AKL
YC
POR
ASMu

I would not stay at an All Stars again -- I'd rather stay offsite for same price and rent a car.

We have stayed at the WL (twice), AKL (twice), Poly, Dolphin, POR, and CSR.

Our least favorite was CSR. Too spread out and we did not like the food court.

We've stayed at CBR, ASMo, ASMu and YC. Of these ASmu was our least favorite. I liked the theming better at ASMo plus with ASMu layout being more linear, there is always alot of foot traffic. At ASMo the layout can send you from the foodcourt in several diiferent directions to get to your building so it doesn't seem as crowded. That being said If I was shopping for a value and ASMo wasn't available, I'd still stay at ASMu. I like staying at all the Disney Resorts and have positive experiences at them all, but this was the least favorite of the places I've stayed...

Our least favorite was the .... Poly. We stayed there about 6-7 years ago and still remember how much we disliked it. Both times we couldn't sleep due to noise in the rooms around us all night, broken bathroom fans, worn out bedding carpets etc. The last time we stayed someone vomited in the elevator of our building apparently during the night and it was still there the next morning - gross!!!!! After two nights we packed up our stuff and moved to the GF which we loved!!! Poly looks so awesome from the outside but it's just not worth the $$ in our opinion. On the other hand we absolutely love the AKL - to each his own. :)

If you would have read my post thoroughly you would have seen that the reason I say OKW is my least favorite resort is I feel as though it gives me the least value for the price spent (whether it be cash or points). The All Star resorts are very often available for $49.00 per night and they give you way more than $49.00 worth of value for your money.
The other DVC resorts and the Deluxe resorts cost only slightly more than staying at OKW and yet they give me much more value for the cost whether it be in cash or points. To me if I am paying the price for a deluxe resort I expect the superior location and access to major parks, amenities and dining options that all of the other WDW deluxe and DVC resorts give me for the price paid, OKW does not do this.

Caribbean Beach for me. It's just too big for a resort in Disney World. The thing that got me mad is that there is not just one bus stop, there are several at CBR. So there would be long wait times for a bus. Waited almost an hour for the downtown disney bus.
