Ok, I know I know... this is a slightly odd question... but do you have a least favorite resort?

What resort, and why is it your least fav?

That's a tough call since I have had such great experiences at all the Disney resorts where I've stayed. I've stayed at ASMu, GF, BWI, WL, Poly (x2), AKL (x2), YC, and BC. My least favorite of those was the BC. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't a terrible experience or anything like that, and I still had a great trip. I simply enjoyed the other resorts more. We had a problem with an exhaust fan that shorted out in the bathroom and kept us up all night when it kept going on and off (we didn't know that was the problem at the time or we would've simply asked for a repair person to come instead of moving rooms). When we changed rooms, the person we spoke to about it was a little curt, which surprised me since we weren't asking for an upgrade or anything like that--just a new non-noisy room. In our next room we had trouble sleeping due to a fussy child in the next room, which was of course not the fault of the BC. So our experience wasn't terrible, we just enjoyed our stays at the other resorts more. :)

I've stayed at Contemporary, WL, GF and AKL. I enjoyed them all. If I HAD to pick a least favorite out of those, I would pick the Contemporary just for the lack of theming. However, I loved the MK view and the monorail.:D

Well we have stayed at Contemporary, Animal Kingdom lodge, Yacht Club, Beach Club, Polynesian and Swan. Our least favorite is the Animal Kingdom Lodge. You can read my post about our experience. Might add Yacht Club cast members are not all that friendly either. Too business like. Guess they are use to catering to the convention type people more. I would like to stay at other resorts but with 3 dss I price out one room versus 2 anywhere else and take the cheapest I can find. This year the swan was cheaper than 2 all star rooms with preferred location.

I only have experience with All Star Sports and Beach Club, and of the two, Beach Club is my least favorite. It was a disappointment, a boring place, very crowded pool. Great service and no complaints, but All Stars was just more alive!

I've stayed at all the moderates..most of the deluxes...none of the values...just for background purposes....least favorite is Caribbean Beach...Didn't like the transportation..the rooms.....decor...or Port Royale...really nothing!

I would have to say the Poly... I have stopped in there several times the most recent was just a week or so ago.

The lobby is so 70-ish. dark and drab... the guest buildings are dark brown and drab too... I am really trying to like this place because I thought it would be nice to stay on the monorail one time but I just get a real bad feeling from this resort.

You could see in all the first floor windows (with the curtains open) .. I would hate to stay on the 1st floor, nothing about this resort appeals to me. It could use a major updating and some colour.

I would have to say Coronado Springs. DH & I thought it was lovely, but it just did not appeal to us like other resorts have in the past. I think that you will find that everyone has their own personal favorites and least favorites. I guess you could say that that is a good thing or we would all be wanting to stay in the same place!

I have stayed in every WDW resort but GF and my least favorite is OKW. The reason being, I think for the cost of this resort whether you are paying cash or pts (I am a DVC member) this resort gives you the least bang for your buck-- other than the size of the 1 br. The size of the 1 br is fantastic, in this category OKW gives you the most bang for your buck. However the location of this resort to major parks is the same as the moderate resorts and the resort amenities and dining options offered is not even equal to the moderate resorts.
I have had very nice stays in all levels of WDW resorts but when I am paying top dollar either in cash or pts, I want the whole ball of wax and I do not feel as though OKW gives me this.

Any of the moderates are our least favorite...we just found no value at all according to disney standards at these resorts (yes, we have tried them all).

We prefer a deluxe, home away from home, or the all stars..(and yes, we have tried almost all of these also)

webray.. that is interesting that you prefer the allstars to the moderates... have you ever stayed at French Quarter? I really liked that resort. :) compact size with everything you need.

POR (riverside)
Very nice grounds. (Too bad the room was not as clean and maintained as the grounds.)
Good bakery
Boat convenient (although limited hours and didn't go to west side when we were there/needed it.)
We experienced terrible bus service and beyond the food and gift shops the servoce was poor to MAYBE meeting expectations.

I think it is good that not all guests like the same resorts. ;)

I have stayed at the GF, Polynesian, WL, YC, Dolphin, AKL, CSR, CBR, POR, POFQ, AM. My least favorite of the ones I have stayed at was POFQ. It is just somewhat bland and missed the mark on what they were trying to acheive. It was not bad just not a big thrill for me.
As far as all of the reosrts go my least favorite ( other than the villas and bungalos at the intistute) is the Contemporary. While the location is great and the rooms loarge the ambiance is very plain and not exciting. It isn't beautiful, pretty or parfticularly attractive. I don't care for the decore of the interiors of the public spaces or rooms.

We have stayed at both Port Orleans and Riverside, Coronado Springs, Contemporary, Wilderness Lodge, Wilderness Cabins, Polynesian, AS Music and AS Sports.
Least favorites is a tie between All Stars and Wilderness Cabins will never stay at these again. All Stars was just too noisy and didn't feel like a resort more like any motel along an interstate. Wilderness Cabins, while the cabins were ok the transportation in Fort Wilderness was horrible. Just too long to get anywhere. We ended up changing to another resort after 2 nights. And yes I agree its a good thing we all have different tastes so we all can get rooms!!

Including the DTD Resorts, my least favorite was the Doubletree Guest Suites. Of the Disney owned and operated? We liked them all. They all have their own unique qualities. We have stayed at Polynesian, OKW (studio, 1 bedroom and 2 bedroom), BWV (studio), BCV (studio and 1 bedroom), CSR, POFQ, GF, AKL, Swan. We have a stay in January at VWL (one bedroom) and Dolpin coming up.

We have stayed at the GF, Poly, Swan, BC villas, POR, FW cabins, WL and CBR. We are hotel hoppers! My least favorite was CBR because I didn't enjoy the theme, the beach area looked raggedy, didn't appreciate the bird island, and the pool/food court was just so so. I did like the courtyards within each island though, sort of a nice response to no balconies.

I was never too interested in the Poly from looking around - and would stay at the GF across the lagoon and think, 'why would anyone stay THERE when they can stay HERE for a little more per night?' We stayed at the Poly Concierge a couple of years ago and I fell in LOVE with the relaxed theme, great views and food choices. I would recommend it to any MK fan!

GF is still my favorite though! My 6 yo dd likes the Swan (she prefers high rise type of hotels) and HE liked the FW cabins for space.

We ALL agreed CBR is our least favorite.

My first thought was, believe it or not, the Poly! But it was not the resort itself but our experience there that was my least favorite. So, of these we've stayed at:

CBR, YC, CR, POFQ, Swan, BWI, Poly, CSR, ASSp, ASMu, ASMo, AKL

I'd say the Swan, only because it was less Disney-esque than the rest but I would definitely go back there if need be.

Just curious as to why you did not like the doubletree. We have the option of staying there for free with our hilton points next time. I will not use it while visiting the parks but when we are done and going to seaworld and universal. Will this be a waste our our points. I can also use the points for free universal and park hoppers too. Decisions..decisions.

My least favorite was the ASMusic. I've also stayed at ASSports, and liked it much better, partly due to the way it was set up. People might be interested that I was on a bus once with a couple who'd been to every hotel at Disney and the bus driver asked them the same question-their answer-CBR.
DeeP-you're an example of what one person loves, another hates. That's why it's good that there's a variety of hotels at Disney. Bet you like BWV-so does DS. Yet, DH won't consider anywhere other than OKW. He walked into BWV one day and said "I'll never stay here! It's too busy!" LOL Yet, DS would love to stay at BWV sometime-he thinks it looks like a great place to stay. Everyone's different!

I have stayed everyplace but WL, Poly or Contemporay. My least fav by a LONG shot was GF. There is no way in my mind that is a flagship type resort as it is adverstised.
