We've had a lot of talk about high prices lately so it got me to wondering.....what are some of the things with the lowest prices at Disney World?

Food, merchandise, etc. Name your cheap finds!

My advice: go to your local Disney store before your trip. We load up on kids t-shirts for $7 each that they wear in the parks and I eye all the merchandise offered for 50-70% off the on-property price. That way when my 3 year old insists on a Finding Nemo plush toy for $30, I can stear him towards the hard to find objects while adding the $10 mall version to his Christmas list.

Smashed pennies! $.51 souviners. Can't beat that.

Agreed! Before our trip in May I didn't know Disney had smashed penny machines, and I was really excited when I saw that they did (smashed pennies were pretty much the only souvenirs we were ever allowed to get as kids, and it's a habit that's followed me into adulthood)! My only regret was that I ran out of pennies (and I got a ton -- I went crazy!); I'm already saving and shining them up for our trip next month!

Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe in Norway has surprisingly affordable (and insanely delicious!) treats -- the school bread is under $3 and is my absolute favorite thing to eat on property!

Touring the resorts. Make a loop on the Monorail and hit those. Driving or Buses to the others. All free.

Fort Wilderness has the Campfire with Chip and Dale (only place to meet characters for free I believe) and you can bring your own stuff for smores or ever buy it there.

postcards! I always like those. Still disappointed my local Disney Character Premiere closed, so much good discounted merchandise there

We were pleasantly surprised with the hot chocolate sold in travel mugs by vendors during the 2013 Christmas season MSEP parade. $5 for the drink and mug/lid. I still use that mug a couple of times a week.

Play the Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom...the card packs are free!

The stores have small, foam Mickey ear "ornaments" I guess you'd call them on chains that are different characters; I think they were only .25.

The passport books for stamping at Epcot are free.
