I have read to get a room between September and December it is harder to get last minute :sad2:
I also assume - April and May are busy with Easter/Passover and Graduations

What about March ?
Better at resorts to get a great room ?

March has a lot of spring break crowds. If you can do September, that's probably the best time, but beware of hurricane season. Between hurricanes and school starting back up, that's usually the best month, but park reservations have really levelled the crowds, so it's hard to find an exact time of year that is better than most other times of the year.

Also, January from Just after MLK weekend to February just before Presidents weekend are usually good, but this year had a lot of people reschedule for that time frame.

All of the regular patterns are out the door right now. September has historically very low crowds, and will certainly be more crowded this year than normal. But still probably the best bet out of your date choices.

March and April have Spring breaks stretched all across so are typically crowded times to visit. May can be a good month though. Especially early May.

Jan /Feb is great snow storm weather here in the NE USA
Afraid:scared: to fly in
What about 2 weeks after Easter - first week in May ?
Or last week of April into the first week of May ?
After Easter before Mothers Day ?

We could also fly in Sunday night - visit Monday through Friday (5 days) and fly back on Saturday - avoid weekend crowds - sounds like a plan ?
We like MK & EPCOT
Our choice hotels are CR, WL or BW

We live an 8 hour drive away. We go all the time. Sadly, i do not think there is any "good" time to go anymore.

Disney has a big home school program, and they try to attract those people when schools are in session. There are also so many different school schedules across the country, it is hard trying to align people's schedules from other parts of the country. My family is still in New York, we are in NC. We do not get president's week off like they do. But we do have a few long weekends that they do not. Trying to schedule a trip with my sister's family is crazy.

Our schools end in the beginning of June, but my neighbors kids school (just over the border in SC) finish school the week of Memorial Day.

I think you should more switch to the mindset of not when the crowds are lowest, but more to the point of what times to avoid:
Any holiday
Any weekend
Any major convention or event
Any Golfing event on property

Are you looking at booking a particular room category or are you talking about being assigned a great room based on location at the resort?

studio - CC or preferred studio at BW
We like EPCOT and MK
In the parks - Monday- Friday
Arrive on a Sunday, Depart on a Saturday

Unfortunately right now with so many people going on vacation post pandemic there is no least crowded time! Just have to adjust your expectations accordingly. You may not get everything done you plan on doing but you will still have a good time if you can just go with the flow! Good luck and enjoy!😎

Expect many Americans to vacation at home for a while. No one wants to be overseas when the current conflict accelerates or another starts in Asia. Not all will agree and that's all good too.

I agree with everyone who's said there really is no less-crowded time currently.

I'd say pick a time of year that suits you for travel and see if you can find the room you'd like or something similar.

As I recall seeing people advise you on booking a studio, your chances of doing that aren't terrific for probably the next year or so. A lot of DVC owners have points they must use or lose due to covid. Some may choose to rent them, but many will endeavor to use them themselves.

Unless you're set on a studio, looking into renting an off-property vacation home could cost you less than a DVC rental and be far more available. Some even have a private pool.

We had trips in August 2021, September 2021, January 2022 and we have an upcoming August 2022 trip.

Usually it's slow during the months of January and September. I found September to be much more crowded than August (shocked me) and January was also very busy during our stay (we went during a slow week, after the marathon and before MLK Day weekend). I don't even deal with November or December anymore because it's a prime time for DVC members.

I think people are terrified of the summer crowds and heat but I think some of those months are more ideal than the fall and early winter.

I'd rather have moderate crowds in the heat with extended hours, than higher crowds with cool/freezing temps and shorter hours (other than the Christmas week frenzy).

My personal favorite sweet spot as far as hours/crowds are concerned is the latter half of August. The southern tier is back in school and while it's hot, there are usually longer hours.

While it’s all just shades of grey, I vote late June through early Sept. I especially like July, although early Sept would get my first vote if I didn’t have to deal with school conflicts. Longer park hours, hot temps, storms, etc tend to put people on different schedules and overall spreads things out more. If you don’t mind the heat and weather disruptions, it’s one of my favorite times to go just from an overall crowd perspective. There’s a reason the summer months are among the lowest rate seasons of the typical Disney rate schedule.
