Least crowded days

As grizzled WDW veterans, we are planning our first trip to DL in early October. What are typically the least crowded days of the week? What days have fireworks and any other special events?

October is off-season so weekdays aren't too crowded; the least crowded weekday is supposedly Thursday.

In the off-season Disneyland usually runs the parade once a day and fireworks and/or Fantasmic only on Saturday nights (sometimes Fridays too).

In researching our early October trip, I discovered that October 4-6 are the annual Gay Days at Disneyland. I understand that crowds can be heavier during those days.

That'll be OK. We're looking at Oct 7 - 11.

The only real day of the week to avoid during October is Saturday. Any date between Oct. 7-11 should be fine.
