Learned the hard way! No more Crocs for me.

I'm going in July and I am taking my Nike Shox PDUs (Pretty Darn Ugly), my "Athens" Croc flip flops, my Teva leather sandals, and a second pair of sneakers. I intend to change shoes mid-day back at the resort to ease my sore, hot, feet.

Hi

I think everyone will have a different experience and opionion, but its fun to hear them all.

I have had terrible feet problems at WDW over the past 6-7 years or so. First, I was wearing very supportive arch Birkenstock sandals, which I didnt get blisters, but my ankles hurt SOOOOOOO bad by the end of every day. Then I went to good sneakers - BLISTER CITY!! Even when trying power, deodarant on my feet etc. Then sport sandals. My ankles felt better, but also blister city - I mean bandaind covered, made me miserable, blisters. Then, I tried Crocs - ahhhhhhhhhhhhh - I can do the whole week no problemo. Usually the first day or 2 I get a tiny hot spot on the inside of my arch area = but a little body glide totally takes care of that!! I can do my croc caymans or my croc scutes (possibly the most comfie shoe I have ever worn in my life). I wear crocs to work as well as I work in a hospital therapy department and take my shoes on and off every hour!!!

Enjoy your shoe journey! I really hope you find something that works - it makes all the difference!!

We were not at WDW when this occured:( but...
My little person was running around (literally) in the lobby of our condo building in his crocs. Well, we get home, pull up Little Einsteins to watch before he goes to bed, and he says" Mommy, bobo!" and points to the side of his foot wear it rubbed a raw spot! He has never had this before and was miserable!
So only crocs and socks from now on!

I've tried Nikes & New Balance & always end up with blisters the first day. My last 2 trips, I've worn the original Crocs with socks & had no problems. I know the socks look stupid & DD doesn't want to be seen with me, but hey, what ever works. I found that without socks the plastic in the Crocs rubs & causes blisters. Plus, I can't stand the little bumps on the bottoms of the Crocs. I know they are supposed to massage your feet, but I just find them irritating.

Loved them all around town in NY. Wore them to Epcot once when we were running to get to LC for lunch. Got a major bister on the back of my foot. I'm usually pretty good with New Balance sneakers. Just bought a pair of Keens to try out for our next trip. I'd love to find a pair of sandals that are majorly comfie, but also cute enough to wear with a skirt or nicer capris.
