I'm thinking about getting DD2 the tag for Christmas. I've seen a few deals on Tag Jr. but haven't seen anything advertised for now or coming up on the regular tag. I know books are on sale at Target this week and was thinking of getting some of those but would love to get the system on sale too.

Anyone see something I missed.

Leapfrog.com has 20% off friends and family use promo code LFFamily you can get the system there. Also the tag reader is on sale at that site for 34.99 :) I think you can get the 20% off on top of that but not sure :0
3 days left for the sale
Target has for 4 days only BOGO tag books. 13.99 for 2 but you can go to chevy.com and do a virtual test drive and get 5.00 coupon. So then the two books are only 8.99 :) You can get two 5.00 coupons. So 18.00 for 4 :)

I tried the chevy promo and after entering print, it does not print, but it comes up with the reply "sorry you have already printed your copy." :confused3

Target has a coupon in their toy book for $10 off the Tag reader. If you do a web search, you should also be able to find a manufacturer coupon for at least $5 off the reader. Target will let you use both a Target coupon and a manufacturer coupon on the same item, so you would be able to get your reader for $15 off (and no shipping). You can get 5 percent more off if you put it on a Target credit card. Their new promotion (with no announced end date) is you get 5% off everything you buy every time you use your card, regardless of what it is. The guy next to me in Target today was buying an iPad and he could have 5% off that too (and they don't usually go on sale at all).

Yes to this!! I just bought our second tag reader today using this coupon (the one I printed off of Target.com under coupons) plus the 5% for using our target card. (so roughly $28.50) Then I purchased 4 of the buy one get one free books and was able to use two $5 off coupons (from the chevy ad) and a $3 off coupon (found in my parenting magazine) on the books. On top of the books being buy one get one free, they were also on sale for 9.99, so I got 4 books for $7 total.

My Target let me use 2 $5 off coupons on 2 books. The books were $9.99, and buy 1 get one. So they ended up being free after coupon. I told the cashier I had 2 coupons and asked her if she thought I could use both or just the one since one book was free. She said she'd give it a try and they scanned through no problem. I did buy a candy bar too, just so my total wouldn't be in the negative because then the coupon wouldn't have worked for sure. So my total for 2 books and the candy was $1.02. Now I need to find a deal on the reader! Does anyone know if the Tag Jr. reader will work on the regular books? I bought the Tag Jr. last week for my younger DD.

Almost positive it won't.

ours does not. The regular tag works with the tag junior books though. Honestly I wish I hadn't bought our tag junior. My youngest prefers using the regular tag, as the tag junior is hard to hold for his little hand, and my oldests wants nothing to do with the junior because it is for babies and doesn't work with her books. I just bought our second regular tag for xmas to stop the fights over it. We've had our tag junior for over a year and it doesn't get played with much, however the regular tag gets played with all the time.

I got great deals at Target yesterday too. Bought 4 books - 1 for 13.99 and 3 for 9.99 was able to use 4 of the Chevy coupons and only paid 3.99

I read somewhere that on BF Target will have the pen for $25. I'm going to wait and try to get then. If not the other deals are great.
