Leapfrog Tag system???

My dad bought this for my ds 4. Any opinions out there? Worth the cost?

My kids (DS4/DD4) just got it for their birthday. They love it. They are really into books and it seems like a great learning toy.

It is pretty amazing how simple it is for them to figure it out. They got it from grandma in the afternoon and when I got home from work they were showing me how it worked.
It has enough levels and features that a single book actually keeps their attention for a while.

Since it was a gift, I can't comment on the cost.
Things that I haven't played enough with but have me concerned are:
* cost of additional books. Seems like that is going to start to add up.
* capacity of the pen. I'm not sure how many books the pen can handle, I really don't want to have to reload/rotate the same set of books (DW did the install, I just played with the toy).

It seems like a good toy before jumping into some of the video based ones. I can see my kids getting hooked on some of those..... maybe this winter.

I got this for my DD4, and she loves it. She is wanting to read already, and feelslike she can. If I remember right I was able to download 5 books to the pen, if it wasn't 5, then 4. I'm prettty sure 5 though. Watch for the books top go on sale. Target had the books for $9.00 one time and I bought a few. Mind you I'm a big sale shopper, anyway to save works for me. I think it was a good buy. ANything to entertain my kids.
