I went toa leadership seminar today for work and it was great. The seminar was put on by our local American Advertising Federation. The topic of the seminar was "Leading with Mouse Ears". Pete Blank formerly of Disney gave the seminar.
It went over the different ways that Disney uses leadership programs for their employees.
It was a really good seminar and very informative. Also during the program, Pete would ask a question or have someone read something in the Powerpoint his was using. If you gave a correct answer, or did any of the reading you got a Disney Gift. The first question was the month & year that Disney World opened. One person said April 1972. Of course that was wrong. So he changed it to just the year. I said 1971 and got a prize. I got two small plastic glasses, with "Cool" written on them.
Pete now works in Birmingham, AL. He said it was a tough decision to leave Disney, but it all came down to family - all from Birmingham.
