I got my BLT waitlist recently and when I view the reservation details it lists my dad as the lead guest, not me. It lists my parents first with guest of member in parentheses under each of them and me the actual dvc member as guest 3. Why would that be? Because of the way the CM listed us when the waitlist was created? Will they make me the lead guest if I call MS?
 
I wouldn't mess with it. There's no telling if changing the wait list would move you further down on the list. If your waitlist comes through, call and ask them to update the reservation itself.
 
I've created new reservations using the on-line reservation system and the order of guests changed after the process was complete.
 
Lead Guest issues is a known software problem that currently has no fix even if the reservation is re-booked.

Just as well though because another software problem doesn't let the lead persons KTTW card get printed with "DVC Member" on it.

Same thing for me. My BLT reservation has my name and then (Guest of member) next to it.
 
A couple weeks ago we also had this problem. Magical Express went to the first name (my brother's) who wasn't even using it and had no idea what it was. Also, there was confusion when checking in. I hope they get this corrected soon.

I already got the waitlist! It was when I looked at the details of it that I saw my dad is listed first.

If they sent DME to my dad he'd probaby dismiss it as junk mail and throw it away. ugh

I want to call anyway to put in a high floor request for BLT so hopefully they can rearrange the names at that time. I'll let ya know how it goes...
 
It was a mess on our last trip. My mom and daughter were on everything. I was not listed as lead on any of our dates. Our parking pass had my Mom's name on it, our room account had my daughter's. I was called by the wrong name all week.
 
Just got back from THV and my aunt who was not joining us until mid trip was the lead name (added her months after ressie was made) and when I called while doing on-line check-in MS said they could not change it. When we did check-in at SSR they could not find us until I mentioned my Aunts name, even worse when my aunt came they said there was NO reservation for us the MEMBERS! It was weird.

I also booked the segway tour, paid it with my cc and it was DD, DH, aunt and myself well my aunt decided not to go and my brother took her place - I called a week in advanced to change her reservation into his name and when we arrived for the tour they had DH, DD listed with aunts last name, aunt still on the tour and I and DB were not even listed even though I booked and paid for it. It did say 4 guests very weird.
 
I've had this problem a few times, and it was very annoying. I was told it was a fixed problem, but from what you're saying, it's not!:confused:

If you're driving and the guard at the gate doesn't have a parking pass in your name, that's the first hint that there will be a problem! It happened to me twice during my December/January DVC stay. I was most concerned when BLT's guard didn't have something for me, I know how they guard their parking, but she did let me in.
 
I booked a flight down to WDW last night. My parents will be driving.

I requested DME on the member site last night for myself and the kids....I hope it gets processed properly and mailed to ME the MEMBER.

I suppose my dad will have no issue arriving at BLT if it remains in his name.

So..if it keeps him as lead guest does that mean I won't be able to check in???
They will be visiting my brother for the few days leading up to WDW and I will be getting there first.

so annoying..

Talking to MS now... he says there's no way of making me Adult 1. He said it doesn't matter what order the names are in. I honestly am having a hard time buying that.... but we'll see when we arrive at BLT.
 
Ok!!! I called MS back and got a different CM. He was great!

He said when a waitlist is filled in, the computer just pulls the names over without considering the order. So he removed everyone from the reservation except me and saved it. That way their system put me as Adult 1. Then he went back in and added everyone else so now I'm Adult 1!

So..if you're not Adult 1...tell your cm to do what Trey did!

I don't think that this is the answer and I caution anyone who has MS touch their reservation. You might end up with other problems.

Apparently MS inputs the mailing name for DME and even though I was listed as the lead on the reservation, the tag packet was mailed to someone else in our party.

Any adult on the reservation can check in at the Front Desk so being the lead doesn't really matter.

Currently that lead name will not have "DVC Member" printed on their KTTW card, so be sure to have your DVC Member ID with you for discounts or access to TOTWL.

You can call DME directly at 866 599-0951 to verify what's in their reservation. Sadly we have found that MS doesn't always input the information correctly so we have it corrected.

We had problems and did not wait list and never made any changes to the original reservation.

It was just a mess. I was told they know it, but not sure how to fix it. :confused3
