Lead Guest Changes

I'm taking a trip with 6 people, so we booked 2 studios at GFV through davids. I put myself as the lead guests on one room, and a friend on the other. My friend just backed out of the trip. Here's my questions:

1) Will Member Services change the lead guest for me, if i call in? Do i call dvc or regular member services?

2) What if i decide to replace her with a different guest, can someone else be added?

Our trip is in May. I'm just trying to get it all sorted out sooner than later. I am a DVC member but didnt use my points for this one. Any tips or experience good/bad, would be appreciated!

Since the reservation was rented from another member, that member is the only one that make the name changes.
 
NO the owner that you rented points from can change the lead name. Yes you can add another guest as long as you don't go over the occupancy of the rooms.

The OP can't call MS for this reservation because they didn't use their points. It's a rental through David's.
 

The owner can have chat change anyone to lead guest, and then change the rest of the guests on the website.

The rental company may or may not work with you to actually do this.
 
You need to contract David’s and look at the contract you have. It should tell you the options did changing a guest. It may or may not allow you to swap someone out.

But, that is the only way it can be done. MS can not amend a reservation for you that is not part of your membership.

Anyone can check in for the reservation as long as they are on it. Again, if you want to add guests, you have to see if it is allowed under your contract.

Anyone named on the reservation can check in, assuming they’re age 18+. So no problem there.
 
Ok, glad to know this. I was worried they'd turn us away or some other kind of suprise hassle associated with it.
 
Update: i called Member Services. They told me my friend just needs to online check in, even though she's not coming.
