Can anyone tell me about Le Ronde owned by six flags in Quebec? Not feeling the travel to the states lately, not just because of trump, but also due to the dollar, and not wanting to pay for flights. I never really knew there was an amusement park this close to me (Nova Scotia)

It's been about 15 years since my only visit. I thought it was well worth it. Several good roller coasters and other more family-friendly rides.

It's my understanding that the park evolved from the amusement area of Expo '67.

The Monster was pretty awesome.

Looks like they still have a Condor ride, one of my all-time favorite flats.

It's not too bad... But would never consider driving from NS as the main point of trip. I have a season pass... Deals can be cheaper than single day ticket.

I think the Montreal Bio-dome and the Botanical gardens are what intrigued my first, and then I went in Pinterest and found Le Ronde

Went there last summer and we spent the day doing the roller coasters. There are some pretty good coasters there but I wasn't overly impressed with the rest of the park. I think you can get reduced admission when you stay at certain hotels.

Vampire was really cool.

Very enjoyable park with some great coasters. I don't think I'd go to Montreal JUST for La Ronde, but it was part of a longer trip. I got in for free due to having a season pass from Six Flags in New Jersey. The price in the link seems very reasonable, however, and I'm sure there are discounts available too.

Wow, the memories! I grew up in Montreal and went there a lot growing up. Haven't been in over 20 years though so can't tell you how it is now though.

The original post was political, so this thread should be closed.

The original post made an off-hand political comment, in context. No need to close the thread, although if a moderator politely said "let's be more careful about this in the future" it wouldn't be out of line.

I went a few years ago on a visit to Montreal. We had a great time. The park wasn't too great, lots of roller coasters. It was a little dirty for my taste. The highlight of our trip, and why we went to La Ronde was because they were having a Fireworks competition in the park. We paid a few bucks for a reserved seat and it was one of the most amazing firework displays we had ever seen. Definitely on par or better than Disney.

Seems odd to me that there is controversy about a Six Flags post titled
"Le ronde Quebec-amusement park"

But to each their own opinion.
