Le meridian Gatwick ??

We have £200 in BA vouchers to use and with the flights, car hire & villa already sorted I'm running out of things to spend them on

We had sort of decided to use them to pay for the Gatwick Hilton but have since discovered that the pool has been filled in and you now have to take your car to teh long term summer special car park which kinda defeats the object of staying on-airport

Le Meridian has been recommended but I can't find any prices that include parking - do they have parking 'onsite' ?

Any other (sensible )suggestion son what to spend my money on ???

We stayed at the Meridien in March 2004. We booked a family room for 5 with 15 days parking via ABC Holiday Extras. The parking was at the longstay car park, not too bad on the day you arrive as you can park outside the hotel for about 1/2 an hour while you check in but it was a bit of a pain collecting the car from the longstay when we returned.

I have stayed at the Le Meridien twice. The first time I used the long stay car park. No problems with it. I checked into the hotel then drove to the car park. There is a regular shuttle bus between the hotel and car park. Coming back no problems, the shuttle bus arrived within about five minutes, and five minute later we were in the car.

The second time we stayed the hotel told us to use their car park.

Also, ask for a room that overlooks the airport. It kept my daughter busy watching the aircraft landing, taxiing etc. And loads of "bunnies" come out at night and feed on the grass around the hotel.

We'll be using the Le Meridien again next year. If my memory serves me well it costs about £130 for the hotel and parking.
