We dined at le Chefs de France for lunch on May 29th and we loved it!!!!!!

:goodvibes

We stayed off site so our meals were out of pocket - no dining plan.

Our server was Aurora and she was very nice and took such good care of us.

We didn't experience or see any rudeness etc as some have expressed here.

We had a 2:20 reservation and checked in about 20 minutes early and were seated within less than 5 minutes.

DH and I ordered from the 3 course menu.

For starters we had the Soupe a l'oignon gratinee (French onion soup) and it was so good!!!!!!! MMMMMMM

We were torn between the ham & cheese sandwich and the macaroni for our entree and our server recommended the sandwich - the Croque monsieur et sa salade verte which is a fancy way of saying ham & cheese sandwich with salad. :goodvibes I have to say it was absolutely the best sandwich I have ever had ever!!!!!! It was melt in your mouth delicious!!!!!

The 3 course meal also included dessert for DH and myself. I ordered the Grauteau au chocola - chocolate mousse cake with ice cream. Which the kids split - it must have been good as they ate every last morsel. DH ordered the profiteroles au chocolat - cream puffs - DH and I split these and they were heavenly.

This was a very relaxed and enjoyable meal!!!!! Would definately eat here again!!!!!!

DS ordered the demi poulet fermier roit, pommes puree au basilic et tomate braisee. A roasted half chicken with mashed potatoes and tomatoes. DS is rather picky and I was concerned he would not eat it. He was able to substitute fries for the mashed potatoes. He really enjoyed it, he didn't care much for the gravy that was under the chicken but he devoured a fair amount of it.

DD ordered the kids chicken tenders which is listed as served with a side of pasta. She substituted fries. She ate well - hard to mess up chicken tenders and fries. :rotfl:

So happy to hear your good review! On our upcoming trip, Chef's is my choice for my birthday dinner. My DH rolled his eyes. I think he thinks of French cooking being very heavy with cream sauces, etc. I've read that the food here is Americanized enough that he'll be pleasantly surprised--at least I hope!
Thank you for mentioning substituting FF for the pasta on the kid's menu!

Thanks for your review. I'm planning on Les Chefs for the 1st time on our next trip, if I can get in on 12/31 that is! Did you see Remy?

No Remy. He does appear at lunch but not on Sunday's which is when we were there.

Wanted to add this was our meal on the Sunday of Labor Day weekend and the park was very busy - probably the biggest crowds I've seen in World Showcase - but the restaurant did not feel crowded or rushed and we did not even wait until our ADR time before we were seated.

Had to go back and forth between your original post and this one to figure this out, but I think I have it now. I think you meant to say "Memorial Day" instead of Labor Day. At first I couldn't figure out why you were posting today about a visit 9 and a half months ago. But now I think I understand why.

I'm so glad I found your post! I was just going to ask about Chefs and what entree to get with the 3 course lunch. Obviously you have to get the onion soup ;) and dessert is a no brainer for me, it's got to be chocolate. But I was torn between the quiche and sandwich...the sandwich sounds too heavy, but everyone says it's so darn good!

You are right....lol......I always cross those two holidays up. Thanks!

It was good. It didn't make me miserable but it was filling. I think DH and I might have had a little snack later on but we did not need another meal that day.

We love it too for lunch and go on every trip! We also get the Price Fixe Menu which is awesome! Glad you enjoyed it!

Thank you for this review!!!! We just booked Chef de France for lunch this Friday. Everyone in our party finds the menu agreeable, but I am thrilled to hear that my DS can get fries rather than pasta (he's my picky eater). He'll be just fine with that!

I am looking forward to this nice lunch as a good break during a hot part of te day.

Love your review! After looking at their menu, I just switched our lunch ADR from Coral Reef to Chefs de France. While I loved dinner at Coral Reef last time, I don't like the look of their lunch menu. And the bonus is my kids will have a better dinner than just pizza!

BTW, what is "lobster bisque"? Never mind, I just googled it. Nothing for me but my husband might like that.

We ate here last June. We also did the 3 course lunch and it was wonderful. My husband is a very picky eater and he can't wait to go back!
