I have all of my ADRs made for our September free dining trip and one of them is Le Chefs de France. However, the more I read dining reports, the more I'm beginning to second guess this choice. It will be me, dh, ds8 and ds4.

We've done 'Ohanas with both menus and while I miss some of the old items, that bread pudding w/ bananas foster sauce is TO DIE FOR. I'm thinking of seeing if I can get us into there instead. While my boys don't really eat from the family style food, they are happy to order a kid's meal. I just don't want us to be seriously disappointed in our dining experience.

Anyone with younger kids have any stories to relate about Le Chefs? I'd welcome the input.

Thanks.

We ate at Chef's July 9 and had a great meal. Our 9 yo Granddaughter enjoyed her meal and our waiter (Stanilas) very much. Even young girls like French men  She had Croquette de Boeuf En Brioche (cheeseburger!) and french fries. It was always customary for us to eat to O'hana but we didn't this year due to the menu change. Last summer we did and although Haley isn't a picky eater, she didn't like anything we were served. Our waiter brought her the usual chicken fingers and mac & cheese. The two restaurants are very different, O'hanas can be a lot of fun but it's noisy and fast paced and Chefs is, well, french. I know, go to O'hana for dinner and Chefs for lunch :)

I have two DD - 6 & 13. To be honest, neither one of my kids are too keen on Chefs de France. They go because we take them. I'm sure if they had a choice they wouldn't choose to go there. My youngest is a picky eater anywhere we go. My oldest can usually find something on any menu. My kids basically picked at the food at Chefs and then gobbled up their desserts. We'll be going again this year cause hubby and I love it.

Well, I think if they can get a cheeseburger & fries or even chicken fingers, they will both be fine (younger ds is not from the best eaters...I don't call him picky, I just think that food is something he eats so he won't die, unlike me who couldn't live w/o eating if you KWIM!).

I, of course, am simply dying to try either the onion soup or the escargot. Haven't had them in years and really love them, especially all that garlic butter.... :cloud9:

We'll also be going in November so I might put 'Ohana back on the list for that trip.
